At least he's got some personality, unlike most men in porn. I actually even thought he was kind of funny in a scene I just saw where he was paired with some sweet white girl that he really seemed to appreciate. He commented that he had just come down from Hollywood where he had scene another white girl and he was like "Damn, why I gotta be black?" I realized that while some people don't like him running his mouth, he at least brings some genuine passion and personality to scenes that is otherwise lacking in the vast majority of porn, and for that, he deserves some recognition. A9NOSTIC - Pipes IS a unique talent, and a one of kind in porn. He does have personality and I will admit that he has said some pretty funny things during his porn scenes. Plus, if you grew up in the 'hood you probably know someone like him, so his deal is familiar. But he does have negatives that sometimes inhibit my porn enjoyment. First, I don't think he's all that great a woodsman. Then, in multiple people scenes, (he seems to be in a lot of them that I watch), I can't stand his propensity to direct during the scene: "You go here, now you go there, now you do this, put her leg over here, hold her head down, I'll do this, no you do that,...", on and on. Finally, in his one on one scenes, there is the constant narration that is his signature, and that everybody complains about. I like verbalizing and vocalization in my porn. From the girl and the guy. People are supposed to be enjoying themselves. Sex is not supposed to be silent. But Pipes is too much. At some point it becomes an annoyance and a distraction. He's funny to listen to when you're watching porn while clownin' with your boys. But when you are watching alone, concentrating on your favorite porn girl, tryin' to get your jack on, and your find yourself constantly saying,: "SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!!!", while you're tryin' to bust a nutt, that's too much. I'm in the "disagree camp". He trash talks way too much for me to enjoy a scene. James Deen and Johnny Sins bring passion to their scenes but they won't jibber jabber throughout their scenes.

I find him funny at times, but at the same time when I watched his scene with an girl it can be annoyance. The same thing with Manuel Ferrara, I don't like when he put his nasty feet on a girls butt or boobs, and ever sticking his toes in her mouth which killed it for me. BTW I never seen Wesley done scenes with the A-List girls who do IR like Kagney Linn Karter, Jayden Jaymes, Lisa Ann, Tori Black (when she did B/G) or Alexis Ford. He always worked with B List girls.
I'll take Wesley's jabber anytime over some of the quiet automaton robotic pumping machines. There is nearly zero dialog in porn. Probably not enough profit left in the industry to include the preparation and acting skill necessary.
I think for certain types of scenes Wesley can be entertaining. I think he does the agressive black man/thug/gangster/scary black guy thing well and in those types of scenes the chatter works and enhances things. If he isn't doing that type of scene it doesn't work...or it awardly becomes that type of scene. I'd be willing to bet that the directors that use Wesley actually like what he does. If they didn't they'd tell him to stop and be quiet. I wouldn't want all male performers to be as vocal as Wesley but at this point it's his "gimmick/hook" at you know what to expect so I don't mind it. I actually wish more guys would talk more if they have something entertaining to say but perhaps not as much as Wesley.
^ Funny.... and nice to know some male pornstars still can get all worked up over some female pornstars. You'd think with all the sex and different girls they get on a regular basis they'd be jaded about all the girls.

Just had to comment that Wesley is is one of my favourate black performers. Adds humor to the scene unlike lex and mandingo who need to retire. If there is one complaint i have about jules jordans work, it is that he sticks with these two performers rather than working with guys like Wesley, Boz and Richard mann.
Wesley has had some really hilarious moments in front of the camera and he seems to be another guy who wanted a legit acting career and ended up in porn. He's no Don Cheadle but he has a raunchy lightness that offsets his tough guy looks. He has worked with Julia Ann and Aurora Snow so he can work with big marquee ladies.

I like Wesley Pipes. His humorous comments reminds me of the early Ron Jeremy. And he seems to be genuinely into the women he fucks. All shapes, all sizes, all ages, all colors. Also he seems to be aware of the viewer and the camera and how things are gonna look onscreen. Probably this explains the "propensity to direct" comment from BSD. I think he might make a good director; most pornguys (seemingly) don't have that awareness of the camera/viewer or of the finished product, and get in the way of the camera or move the wrong way or position their body wrongly, or otherwise unknowingly trash the scenes. Also Wesley is in tune with his female partner, and does not automatically try to destroy them. He can dish it out if the girl can handle it. But if she cannot handle it he can tone down the intensity while still delivering a good scene. The jibber-jabber can be annoying at times, but the positives make up for that one negative.

I generally find him intolerable in a scene due to his almost constant trash talking but inoperable lung cancer is a really shitty deal. I genuinely do wish the best for him.
