Pipes certainly has a clearly defined screen persona that he sticks with and that gets him a lot of work, but as with most personalities that are very distinctive, he arouses passions on both sides of the coin.
I will admit that there are times when Pipss' act and incessant patter is entertaining and sometimes pretty humorous, but there is just as much time when it is annoying and tiresome. Or worse, distracting from the action.
But, he does seem to be good at what he does, he must be a pretty reliable and agreeable performer, cuz a lot of companies use him, and there is no one else quite like him.
What would really be cool is if Pipes' whole on-screen persona was just a function of the greatest acting performance in porn, and in reality he is an MIT graduate and Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, and just doing porn to pay his bills.
I think Welsey Pipes is hilarious at times, but those scenes where he talks on and on gets a bit old. But I like seeing a lot of dirty talk in IR scene, and he does it with whip cream on top! I think he is better when he talks a lot of shit at the beginning of a scene when a girl is being introduced but as the scene progresses only says things occasionally.
I kind of like the guy. I like the whole ghetto thing he drags into a scene. That's why he's perfect for the Gangland serie in my opinion.

The man actually has a Yahoo Group dedicated to him, which I found quite suprising considering how unpopular he seems to be.
I sort of like him, he does say some funny stuff, he also seems to have the droopest nut sack in the biz. And I do like that dirty talk in scenes, it does get a bit reptitive. I thinks he's popular with producers because he's a total stereotype.

We all know that all it takes to start a Yahoo group is an ID, and 2 minutes to se it up. I don't know how many members he has, but that guy is more comical than controversial.
I do agree that the reason he seems to work steadily is the fact that he is the "Stereotypical Negro". I think it's the reason he tends not to get top shelf females.

I thought he is an ex-con? It seems to me I read he had been in prison (unless I have him mixed with someone else). At any rate he is a good performer. Not as good as Justin or Rico but still pretty good.
Has he gone into remission with his cancer battle and I've missed an announcement?

I lovelovelove him so much...He has never forgotten where he is from and his schtick is just that as with all comedy its great when there is some authenticity and truth behind it...Yes he was on Parole (for car jacking) when he first got started in the industry but there are PLENTY of excons in this biz one I feel able to talk about as he was open about it and is now dead was JakeMAlone nee PArker Shurman (jacked a pizza man if I'm not mistaken did time with a now well known company owner at that time a GM) and he was urbane from a classy background and Jewish so lets not judge Mr. Wesley so harshly...Many of these cut throat black thugs I have found are well educated spoken and bred with very few being of the stereotype and those cats I prefer Thinking about ToneCapone & TonyEverready are both very real serious cats and thankfully complete gentleman when I encountered them but they too do not forget here they are from...
WP is up there in the rarified air or JimmyHooligan ChicoWang (IMO) and Jamie Gillis so few can run their mouths and fuck or operate a camera at the same time...MAX is not nearly as good but deserves an honorable mention....BTW Jamie's DirtyTalk was considered so good there is a book on the subject called PureFilth..Its great..'

My mistake Jake was already involved I believe as a Director even...He did indeed direct at least one title before going away only to return to the same company I believe....So his buddy from prison was a different matter and did not "get or help him in....
A'ight, I'll be the one to say it. Who else remembers and respects the career of super-nasty, trash/shit talking, butthole-lovin', white wmoan slayin' swordsman Wesley Pipes? He went way back... from New Orleans or some Louisina ghetto or something. He was a chiseled, gangster-acting black actor with a very long, slim dick who LOVED plowing white women, especially up the butt. Some of the most amazing and physically impressive scenes I've ever seen starred "Mr. Pipes." You know who I'm talking about... He was ripped, like fresh from the gym without an ounce of fat on his body. Had a gold grill over his teeth many times, and a tattoo of a pistol that'd look like it was tucked into his pants (were he wearing any). Had a huge 11" dick that sure found it's way up MANY a butthole, to which he excelled save for another memorable trait about him... his shit/trash talking during scenes.
Man, this guy was NASTY! "Bitch, I'ma shoot a whole orphanage down your throat & you better not let any get away!" before ejaculating into some exhausted woman's mouth. One time, while balls-deep up someones butt he said, "Bitch I better not hit a nerve up in there and have you shit all over my dick!" Heck I remember one scene in which the actress call her mother on the phone (for real!) and put her on speakerphone while Wesley was up in her ass doggy style - to the nuts - with her howling like a banshee. Her mother could be heard saying, "I wonder about your life decisions..." in the background (TBH I can't know if it was fake or not but it sure was epic effect).
Last I heard Wesley caught some sort of cancer or had otherwise retired, maybe to take on a rap career. Whatever the case, I sure miss him. The guy was really buff & built, had a big ol' dick & would work an actress over like she'd never been before (or ever since). He was especially into anal... I recall him saying something about white guys watching their favorite starlet's gut's being plowed by this deep-south guy sold more films than any other. Who knows, but I sure miss his energy.
Loved his scene with Mischa Brooks in Dark Meat 4. She was in shock at the size of his BBC. Once he found out her BF was white pornstar Michael Vegas he made sure to fuck her better than he ever could. It's not surprise she and Vegas broke up shortly after.
