What influences you to choose one video over another. Is it

  1. director's record

  2. performer

  3. pairing of performers

  4. body type of performers

  5. cover Art (tasteful or raunchy)

  6. studio's record

  7. title

  8. other?

  9. This is not a marketing study, I am just curious.

I tend to take studio's record into major account, cover art comes second, and then there are certain performers I follow.

For me, i'd look at what kind of sex and the themes that go on in the video, (whether it's b/d s/m kink, watersport etc.)

Then i'd probably go by the body type of the performer and then the performers themselves.

  1. director's record - Yes, i.e., Kristen Bjorn, Matt Sterling, John Rutherford, Lucas Kazan, Wash West, William Higgins, Bruce Cam, George DuRoy and to a lesser extent Jim Steel, John Travis, Steven Scarborough & a few others - I tend to avoid Chi Chi LaRue unless I already know something about the video or have heard that it was good from a 'reliable' source & Robert Prion is the kiss of death

  2. performer - There are a few performers I follow these days, mostly ones who have branched out from some of the European-staged videos. California produces way too much quantity and way too little quality and the performers are in all of it - a performer I like gets me to notice a video but the quality of the video itself will determine if I buy

  3. pairing of performers - no, not really

  4. body type of performers - I like lots of different body types (as long as they are lithe to muscular and good looking to handsome) and the directors I like like my types

  5. cover art (tasteful or raunchy) - seldom indicative of what's inside

  6. studio's record - in a few cases, yes; in most cases, no. Most of them put out too much junk along with too few good titles - especially the CA (& NY) based studios

  7. title - if the title has a military or jock theme, it piques my interest, otherwise, no

  8. other ? I think you've covered the bases
