In softcore, I want something to pique my interest and feed my imagination. I think softcore needs some semblance of a story and a good deal of romance in addition to pretty pictures and ample skin.

A while ago, I got hold of an excellent hardcore flick called Italian Style. It's an overall great movie, and I gave it high scores. So now, I get ahold of a softcore movie called A Taste of Italy, which is basically a softcore version of Italian Style. All penetration, cumshots and erections are removed. It's still a great looking movie though. But here's my dilema. I don't understand who would want to see this movie. I always thought that softcore movies were supposed to have more story, more people slowing undressing, erotic caressing and stuff like that. So I guess my question is, who buys these softcore flicks? Is it people that can't get hardcore anywhere, and have to settle for softcore? In that case, they wouldn't really care about story and stuff... they just want to see the most flesh possible from a DVD they buy at Sam Goody. Or is softcore really for people who are looking for more than just tab A going into slot B (magnified 1 hex )? Just what is it that makes a softcore flick "good"? [Link] |
