They seem abit high to me but maybe I just being a cheapo. Are there other sites out there like it(monthly one time fee)? Not including 5.99 gay section dozens of claims have. I mean real stuff. Xrent looks nice but cant even get them hardly with monthly, we excluded :(
Personally, I will not rent from a site that requires a monthly fee that entitles you to so many DVDs out at one time. Just my strong preference not to be locked into something like that. I have been very happy with XRentDVD.com. The service has been great and the selection, while not spectacular, is fairly good. And they will take requests under advisement. I also like that they give you a postage paid mailer to return the DVDs in. Just pop it in the local mailbox. Ony drawback is that I sometimes find I want to keep a rental more than a week. Still, they do have a rent-to-own program so you can hang onto a DVD if you fall in love with it.
Well, if you are wanting to go with the Netflix style renting system, GayDVDEmpire is a much better deal than XRentDVD. XRentDVD won't let you rent out "premium" dvds, those which they rent for more than $5. Problem is, on the gay side, all the good movies are premium titles. GayDVDEmpire has no such restriction.
Ouch. Dont touch GayDVDEmpire! Its been 4 days and still waiting for anything to ship. I seen very few in stock rentals go down even further to 11, and that only because I added quite few low key titles to a very long list. Sigh, another thing have to fight to get credit back this month along with 14 non paying ebayers :(
Another reason why I'm not as concerned about the price for the "pay as you go" rentals at XRentDVD. If you see a title that you want and it is "IN STOCK," you click--you get that title. No settling for something else on some list you thought up months ago and that you might not be in the mood for today.
Sorry to hear about your troubles with GayDVDEmpire madara. They're always been top rate at selling DVDs, so I figured they'd have their act together when it comes to renting. Have you at least gotten any titles yet? Or did you cancel already?
BTW, nice spam there xvod. I've never actually seen anyone give Oh Man Studios quite the kudos you have, but I suppose when that's one of only 2 studios you have available at your site, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Anyone else have + or - on gaydvdempire? I was looking at adultdvdexplorer, but gaydvdempire seems to have more titles (although there were a lot of 'unavailable'titles). Empire also had a better selection of ummmm alternative titles. :)
So does empire have a good turnaround? good election & avilableability?
So people use this kind of rental to just preview purchases, or for regular uhhh viewing? :)
I am the buyer over here at GayDVDEmpire. I'm actually a new buyer, so some of the problems that you are seeing mentioned in here, are actually being addressed. There were some general stock problems over here, before I came in. Many things were consistently out of stock, and weren't even ordered at all. With the cooperation of my rental people, we are making a concerted effort to get in all the titles that people wish, and generally have a pretty fast turn around for getting the movies out. Additionally, as a rule any title that we don't have, is an oversight and I would be happy to take requests for product that we don't have. Well, hope this answers some of your questions :)
We really shouldn't be advocating stealing movies on this forum. But if you are going to give this a shot, for god's sake, don't host/share any Titan movies! I know for a fact that they check out kazaa and emule looking for people hosting their movies. And they are VERY VERY lawsuit happy. Play it safe, and just pay for your movies like a real grown-up.
I am having good luck with machodvd.com Their rental programs are decent and the selection is top notch. they always send my reorders right away. I have a constant turn over of good quality DVDs without the premium cost I used to pay at Xrentdvd. I still like Xrentdvd for my straight stuff though.

I'm sorry... and actually I'm not sure they are renting copies... I could be wrong. The website has been going on for 3 years, and they have a huge selection... so if all were copies, I'm sure some major company like Titan would be complaining by now. Peace out...
Not sure Netguy. I must be thinking of wrong one I thought I tried them with free trial once and barely had any gay titles really.
I tried flicksmart,sugar, gaydvdempire and nymedia. I thought nymedia was best for few months I did it. gaydvdempire I thought really bad, well if person does lowest plan and is looking for non popular titles (no falcon) then work out. Others where not really gay sites and there choices other then very low quality stuff you could count on one hand.
