What is it about 1988? That appears to have been Taija's last year in the biz, contrary to what Excalibur's bio says, and that's when she had the hair metal look. Tracey Adams was the same way that year. Her 1988 films see her with big, frosted blonde hair that just looks horrible. Several other of the girls from that era I like had their hair look the worst in '88, except for Jacqueline Lorians. Around that time, she had blonde hair and it didn't look like a victim of too many cans of hairspray. It looked good.

I haven't seen too many 80s pornos where the hairdos on the girls was overly comical. However, the ones I have mostly come from '88.

I know this is supposed to be lighthearted and I'll run the risk of sounding pompous, but is it at all troubling that we make fun of past porn girls for not doing something they didn't enjoy? As result, it's pretty much required of current porn girls to take facials, as the audience has been programmed to demand it at this point. If a girl digs it, cool. If not, then what's the big deal? Anyway, there are far better girls to tease about cum dodging than Taija.

If we are to believe her birthdate at IAFD, Taija is around 43/44-years-old at this point. She could conceivably have grandkids, ala the Catherine Keener character from 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005).

Understood. I've been around ADT long enough to know when it's a thread destined to be littered with one-liners meant to make a pun on the absurdity of the question at hand. It's just not everyday that a Taija Rae conversation springs up though. Maybe she's a hot grandma like Catherine Keener from 40-Year-Old Virgin ? Doesn't her hair look silly on this cover? That's not the least bit funny? Eh. I just don't know comedy.

That's cool. The teased shag look has always been a turn-off for me, though I am always looking back on it since it reached the height of its popularity before I turned 10. When I see it, it's hard for me to not think of hair metal videos, in this case Axel Rose's hair from the "Welcome to the Jungle" video. That doesn't have to be a bad thing, but for me it is.

I know. I'm not meaning to ignorantly joke, "Look at them girl's hair. They're funny looking," not that you or anyone else implied I was. It's just that two stars (Rae and Adams) I like from that era had particularly pronounced big hairdos in 1988 whereas before they hadn't really gone so over the top. And it has me asking myself if maybe they were both big Guns N' Roses fans (Appetite for Destruction came out in '87).

It's a Sunday night, the playoffs bored me, and I'm asking trivial questions (why did two porn stars with all ready big hair go even bigger?) in a thread better suited for hit-and-run, one-liners.

That's the look I prefer. I do like her with the blonde hair too, though we've all ready established that I'm not a fan of her '88 look.
