The little I have seen of it (wait a minute, I am usually keen on being precise, why change now; ... consulting the WB database...; ah yes, here it is: I have seen 102 videos produced in England), made me believe most of it is pretty amateurish, with all the good and the bad that comes with that territory.
My favorites are the Ben Dover stuff and the stuff produced by X-Stream Productions. But I must confess that there is lots of stuff I haven't seen yet. Oh, I believe that lots here will praise the work of Viv Thomas. I have only seen two older tapes of him and was slightly disappointed by both the action and the technical qualities (the over-saturation of the colors was really a pain in the arse). Since he is being praised a lot now, I guess his work has improved dramatically.
As for British girls, uhm.. let me check again. OK, I have seen 268 English born girls in action. Can I add the 7 Irish, 4 Scottish and 1 girl from Wales? There were many nice ones, in many different appealing forms and shapes. And there were also some not so nice ones, in many different forms and shapes. Picking favorites when the choices are more than 10, has never been my forte, so I am sure you will forgive that I pass.

As far as from the UK, the only one I have seen is a Viv Thomas. As Walter said, disappointing, but again that was some older stuff. Perhaps he has improved. (He did have some very good photo shoots though)
I know there is other stuff produced in the UK, I just haven't seen it.
As for the girls? - there's plenty that can turn me on.
I'm not too sure you could count Viv Thomas as an actual UK porn producer.
I have seen quite a few of his more recent DVDs, which have all been excellent, but the performers all seem to be from Eastern Europe rather then from the UK! Plus ca change!
As has been already said, most of the home-grown product is rather variable (I know I live here!) There aren't really any major companies as such, unlike the States. That's not to say that we can't produce good porn, but the talent soon heads for the US.

Any recommendations for red haired Celtic girls with green eyes and freckles? That is a look that really gets hold of me. Must be programmed into my gene pattern or something.
Freckles would be optional, but true redheads are what I mean.
I'm not a big fan of UK porn eventhough I did like Ben Dover movies when he first started. The only UK porn I like are the ones from Johnny Rebel. Those are pretty good.

I like the amateur-ish, off the street style of British porn, like Ben dover and Terry Stevens. I think thats the appeal of British made porn and it should stay like that. I'm not a fan of the British stuff that tries to be all "American" with strories, high production etc. I say leave that to the American studios (this stuff i do like).
As for the British girls. By all means go over to America and work there. Thats great. I do like the amateur kind of girls in Ben Dover films.

When I think of British girls in porn I tend to think of really nasty girls who dirty talk better than almost any other group of girls in the world. Rocco in London is truly appalling, in every respect. I'd be embarrased to put my name to it. However, IMO, the nationality of the girls, and the particlular girls in question, is a different issue to the representation of UK product. This is not a UK product. It is (1) a US and (2) Rocco product.

There is good British product to be found. However, the total amount of material produced, compared to, say, the US is massively less. This means that, in absolute numbers, of the number of quality films is less. What might be more interesting would be to compare quality product against the volume produced.
If you like sweaty males, acne, bad teeth, plain-faces, greasy hair and frumpy clothes, then watch UK porn. Don't expect anything remotely erotic. My two cents.

Viiv Thomas are one of my favourite studios.
They are most definitely British although they use both British and East European talent. And at least one movie of theirs was bought outside (Anal Pool Party)
Well actually I don't have any proof. I went to check their website, and they don't list any kind of snail mail address for the studio.
They seem to use mostly British actresses, with the rest being European. Their billing company is in Australia, but I don't hear any Australian accents in their movies. I don't recall ever hearing an American one either.
Where did you think they might be from ziniaraya?

What about Misty Mckaine from "American Buttman in London". She's British, right?
I will never forget that ass. Beautifully shaped and plump.
Unfortunately most of her stuff (early to mid 90s) was shot in Europe. So you have to do some digging to find something you can get domestically other than the aformentioned Buttman title.
The Sarah Young (sarahyoung.com)website actually offers 2 compilation videos of her stuff called "The Adventures of Misty Mckain Vols. 1 and 2". The videos are full of decent Misty scenes but do have some rather questionable editing and soundtrack choices. Nonetheless, being a huge fan I was happy with finally being to see her in action outside of the Buttman flick.
If anybody else knows where I can get more Misty Mckain videos -- please post.
Did Nadia Nyce come from the U.K.? I know she's indian but I thought she had an english accent. I think that it is more difficult funding wise to do anything worthwhile in the U.K. For a long time I have been trying to get stuff which has not been heavily cropped, to obscure the action and found that stuff that had been filmed here but distributed abroad say by an american director was uninhibited. I'm quite happy to see british girls/lads go abroad and work for a proper studio where they can get really good production values.

That and the prudes like Mary Whitehouse stunt the growth of the porn industry in the UK. They're the main trouble to the industry over here.
