But what do they mean to each of us? Are the scenes with Missy and Mickey G, formerly life partners off-screen, not "real" because they were "professional" pornstars? Is an 18 y.o. porn starlet who's done 20 scenes more of a sexual "professional" than a 45 y.o. dominatrix who's just sent her first tape to Homegrown Video? Is a scene between Brandon Irons and Bisexual Britni (2 people who've known each other, like each other, and have worked together before) less "real sex" than sex between 2 strangers who meet at a Piggly Wiggly then hit the Holiday Inn for some afternoon delight? Is saying, "porno is not 'real' because so many scenes end in external cumshots, and I prefer my man to cum inside me" comparable to saying "professional basketball is not real basketball because so many plays end in a slam dunk, and I don't know anyone in our IM league--except those freaks SueR and Yogagrrl--who can dunk"? Does low-tech camerawork mean more sexual heat? If minimal direction makes a couple behave more "realistically", then isn't gonzo "real sex"?  [Link] |

However, when answering SueR about the difference between Homegrown and Randy West it was "shelf space" you sited that made them both part of the amateur category. It is on the shelve taking up space and needs to rent to compete against the others.No. There is some very good quality amateur movies. If Homegrown has poor quality and Randy West has good quality, then Homegrown had better upgrade. If any company's tapes are not good quality, they need to upgrate to be competitve.
