Hi all,
The issue of sexual compatibility is an interesting topic and I wonder how this plays out in your relationships. How important is it in your relationship(s) and what does it mean to both of you i.e. stress reliever, spiritual union, headache killer etc... Thanks for reading and replying.

Sexual compatability is extremely important. A couple needs to be on the same page when it comes to sexuality because it is an expression of love (or lust in the start), adventure, and trust.

If one partner is too shy or inhibited toward the other, then it can be construed as mistrust or lack of attraction. Good sexual compatability also involves communication. They reflect of each other.

Short answer: it depends.

In many relationships it is the physical representation of a deep emotional attachment and a form of communication between those involved. However, even in those relationships, each act might be a little different. There are times when I've been in a serious relationship and a particular coupling wasn't all that emotional. We just happened to be horny as hell at that moment and we wanted to fuck our brains out.

And yes, I've had relationships that were mostly physical: fuck buddies or friends with benefits are common terms for such pairings.

Communication between two people can be on many different levels and sex may or may not be an activity that is also included. There are no rules etched in stone, it's basically what works between the parties in question.

Oh yes, sex can relieve stress, but since I can't always get laid when I'm stressed, I rely on exercise for that. Hmmm, a blowjob right about now would be nice...

A nice activity, nothing more.

If it is not there but was before, it means the end of the relationship unless there is a good reason.

If it was never there, it just means a close friendship.

If the difference in sex drives is to great, it means there will eventually be a problem.

Other than a fuck-doll relationship, sex usually means an accompanying emotional closeness. Different extent for different people, but it is usually there.

sex to me is a connection between 2 people unlike any other.. flirting & eye contact is 1 thing but having your partner inside of you... next to being compatable--- ITS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!!

I dont know about spiritual union, although "GOD" is called out quite often in bed...

Personally I (we) dont like slow passionate sex... he likes to fuck the shit out of me.. and i love it. Knowing that he loves me..and would never hurt me .. i give him full control...Id do ANYTHING for him in bed. We fuck like it is our last time, everytime....

He truly is my master.
