He was in the Rodney Moore mold in that many of the girls he shot were of the type you would never see in porn again. I especially like his MILF editions. Many of his "ladies" were downright nasty, voluptuos and of your every day looking variety.
With so much of the MILF porn in the United States recycling the same stars in every series, I would think he could have done very well in today's market.

Huge Ben fan right here...he had told the British version of FHM last year that he would be retiring
after his contract with Kick Ass was up.

Ben Dover was everything I ever wanted in a porn director. I think that he may not have, er, penetrated the US market due to the fact that some
of the women (and men, aka Pascal) stretched the limits of "attractiveness". Certainly by the porn standards of the late 90s.
But damn, the action was ALWAYS blazin' hot. He could do scenes with faked setups or he was fine with just getting right to the fucking. He did scenes in a "proper&quotup, or had a girl just suck him off in his car, or more often than not, BOTH. And I know, a lot of his stuff is ripped from Stagliano, (he's admitted as much himself) but his films always seemed far well more put together than Buttmans'.
Hopefully, he'll pull a Michael Jordan and unretire. Soon. Adult is much the poorer without him.

Ben is not retired yet, he has slowed down a bit (he is getting older after all (oops, I hope Ben does not read ADT, hi Ben!)) and he is very busy with his new Ben Dover Hard Wear merchandise.

I have several Ben Dover titles in my collection,the women in some of his titles were on occasions just like women you would find down the pub..in other words ones that you could imagine fucking,the horny houswife etc.It is all about opinions and i think Killergram and Pornostatic are producing some of the best quality british titles out there.If i had to choose between a Ben Dover title or a Killergram title it would be no contest these days.

I should have clarified; he said he was retiring from making videos, but yes he has the merch line
