I've found that people are basically pretty respectful to the performers/industy people that take the time to post here :)

On the other hand, the "good guys" crowd aren't always angels, either. There was a thread about Belladonna/Bella Donna recently where someone, can't remember who, ('cos I can't find the thread) but Im sure it was an otherwise well-respected poster called her "an ugly skank" or something similar while I believe the "harder-core" crowd was talking about how beautiful they found her.

The purpose of that example isn't to flame someone, (especially since I don't remember who it was :p) just to point out that -anyone- can be out of line or rude, whatever their opinion on DAPs.

The reason I'm going on about this here is because I don't see these little digs (from either side) as anything useful to the forums at all. Hope you take this post in the way it was meant.

Hope Wendy comes back as well, but hey, she might have gone interstate or lost interest or anything as much as being scared off by negative posters. Who are we to say?

I'd like to say thanks for the interest in my whereabouts. Honestly, I read the forum pretty often. However, it seemed to have dove into things I either had no opinion of or things that I was so passionate about that it would have been way too much trouble to respond only to get some sarcastic, rude or negative response. That would have just made me feel like I had to explain myself more than necessary. Things like that can be way too much work when noone can tell what you're saying because it's hard to read the tone of words on a screen.
In all sincerity I didn't think I was all that high on anyone's list anyway.
Honestly, I guess you could say that I always thought that I didn't really have that much of an ego. But, once I started to read posts here and polls etc. I realised that in some ways after being in the business for more than 3 years that I would have hoped to make a bigger impact. I haven't. At least not as much as I would have liked.
Now don't think I'm looking for some sympathy. I'm not. I'm merely explaining why I guess I've been put off when it comes to posting.
I'm more than happy right now. I've got a lot to look forward to and plenty that has been going on this year. I guess all I'm saying is that it can be hard sometimes "listening" to so many people talk good or bad about someone and wonder where after all this time I might fit in. It doesn't matter anymore. I don't need to "fit in". I realised that I'm much more of an individual and quite happy with that fact. I just think that for a little while I was too worried about things I couldn't control instead of things that I could.
Now I feel that my performances are much stronger and more interesting than ever. I am quite happy with my newest releases and more than happy about most if not all of my upcoming projects. I've been pretty busy this year and plan to stay that way. As far as I'm concerned this will be the best year yet and I refuse to let it be anything less.
And, as far as any negative comments or questions keeping me away that hasn't been the case. Like I said I still do read the forum pretty often. There just hasn't been much for me to comment about. I'm a firm believer that if I don't have anything positive to say about something or if my input is more on the negative side I'd rather not respond. Other than that there are times that although I feel like responding to some things I see what others say and get the impression that by responding and telling the truth about my opinion on the matter that I'm more or less creating more work for myself.
Example: Someone started a thread about God. I am so passionate about my beliefs that it would have been pages rather than something simple. Not to mention it would have been hard to reply without sounding like I was trying to make a debate out of anyone's answers. So, instead I just let it go. I guess that's the way I think about a lot of the topics. It's not to say that I wouldn't be up for debates sometimes it's just that some things are more personal opinions that in the end you just can't work out. I know I'm probably leaving plenty of open windows here but, no biggie. I'm more than happy to repsond to anyone that talks to me personally. I think that's easier for me most of the time.
So far if anyone is interested ... my year has been pretty busy... I've been working for Vivid, Sin City, not so much for VCA and have done some traveling. I've gone to Hawaii to film, Japan, and then to Miami for a signing that turned into a cancellation. (the guy that owns the company; or the son who thinks he owns the company had such a big ego that it was hard to fit in the same state so I had to come home. not to mention his diamond studd earrings were so huge that traffic was getting blocked up in the south beach area. since it was spring break that was a big problem luckily I escaped)
For more details on any of the work I've done this year just ask. I've also done more softcore stuff. Well, I guess that about covers it for now.. I know I'm missing something or forgetting something... but, at least I've stopped by to say hi again. If anything I've just been really busy and that's a good thing. Astro.. and all the other reviewers... please let me know about my upcoming releases... I'm looking forward to hearing about them... to be honest I'm more interested to hear about the acting but, well that's because I had so much fun with the parts. I'll admit that my scenes are getting better but, at times have been slightly sour mostly due to so many different things... can't be on all the time... I figured out what I needed to do and am trying to do that now... hopefully it works... take care.. and talk to you guys soon.

And, to be fair, we can call Vivid names, but they sure know how to promote their girls.

Problem is, today is hard to be a super-duper mega pornstar due to the large offer. Back in the days of yore, the choices were pretty limited (Linda Lovelace, Georgina Spelvin, and up to the Ginger Lynn era).

Today, there are girls coming out of the woodwork.

I agree with what P-Sex has said about Publicists and PR-Hype machines being what really makes a "big impact" in the business. I don't watch that much stuff made in the US, but somehow I generally know the names and faces (ok, often after a "who's that?" post) of the Vivid or WIcked girls. That can be put right down to either the fact that they've been around for YEARS and/or have the PR Hype machine behind them.

I agree with what you say about not saying anything unless I think I have something relevant to say about the topic. Probably why I'm often quiet and have been posting a lot in the past week...

Working in the porn industry is a career. Like all careers, you should only work them within the limits you set-not some trollish boss. My whole life I've advised people to do what they find fun for a living. Once it becomes less than fun, they need to re-evaluate what they are doing to pay the rent. Money is not everything.

In Wendy's case, she set a particular limit so that a particular act will be "special" with Eric. Love trumps work for those who have depth in their character. Like our other friend Tina, Wendy seems to have a good head on her shoulders (and the rest of her looks pretty good too) with regard to perspective and what's important in life. For that, how could my words be anything less than kind to her? (Especially given how the industry is driven by so many who lack principles...)

I guess others feel the same way too since Wendy's in bigger demand now than at any other time in her three(?) year career. Planet: I can think of so many girls that once they got a contract they quit doing everything. No facials, no anal, only girls, condom only.. etc etc.. and that was after they worked in the industry for years doing everything with whoever.
There are girls under contract that only do guys.
Some that only do girls.. plenty that don't do anal and wont. Tons that don't do facials.. and quite a few that only work with 2-3 guys.
If you want to start comparing.. I Do more by far than a lot of contract girls that I can think of.. but, I'm sure there is another debate in here somewhere..
