I mean, my assumption more or less is that probably 90% of the girls in the business have a substance abuse problem of some sort, so I wouldn't be surprised if Dani did too, but I just don't see where it says that here.

It's probably fairly common to get hooked on some drugs, need cash for more, and porn is probably one of the "better paying" spots for a girl with no skills or job prospects. "Better paying" means money - in cash - by 5pm that day, as opposed to paid in arrears every one or two weeks by check as most of us are.
The other thing with girls who are truly just of out high school is that when they do get their $250 that may be more cash than they've ever had in their lives, and it may get spent recreationally. Few kids, porn or otherwise, have a complete set of life skills at this age.

Not you, Mike. For the rest, my opinion still stands. A bunch of you secretly despise these women for doing what they do. You wait for them for them to fall because what they do is dirty. So it comes as no surprise to many of you when they catch a disease or they turn out to be crackheads.

If we thought porn was dirty, why would we be here, posting about how great it is, giving directors and companies our suggestions and input and constantly praising the insiders who post here as well? We're here trying to get the scoop on the latest releases and sharing our opinions with one another to better figure out what to spend our money on next. I'm not going to say no one here fits that bill, but I don't think most of us do.
I'd say the attitude at ADT is overwhelmingly positive compared to the misogynistic stuff I've seen posted at RAME or LukeFord where people do seem to harbor a resentment towards female talent in the industry and females in general. I don't see many things like that here and it's what makes ADT refreshing. People here vehemently support the business and nearly everyone that works in it, that's why the fans and the talent post here so often and have a great relationship with one another. Yeah, I think I've seen a few outbursts where the rumor mill gets out of hand, but those are small isolated incidents unlike a few places who exist solely to tear down the business and those that work in it despite claims to the contrary.
Ask Ariana Jollee or Selena Silver (and Dani Woodward, for that matter) if ADT as a whole is just waiting for them to "fall" or if we support their every project with every spare dollar we have. Hell, look at my avatar!

Gosh, I love being lumped in with everyone. I'm thrilled Dani Woodward came in her to counter things that were being said about her but if you look at the picture at the start of the thread and you know what she looked like when she started performing...conclusions are not difficult to draw. This is after all the section of the forum to talk about the performers.....most of the time it is positive but in this case it wasn't...is that wrong? And are people supposed to just shut up if they don't have something nice to say? How boring is that? From my end, she was a performer I enjoyed when she started and I was pretty disturbed by the pictures above. For the record Sbando....I happen to love women and I enjoy watching them have sex and frankly, I don't really know what is "dirty" or "nasty" anymore but as long as the performers are respected and no one is forced to do something they don't want to, I'm personally okay with it. I don't wish anyone ill will or harm and I certainly don't enjoy watching anyone fail. Personally, as I mentioned in my previous post, I'm not one bit surprised when one of these girls turns out to be a crackhead or a whore on the side. My assumption has always been that most of them have drug or alcohol problems of some sort that were major factors in driving them to the porn business. Like jrv said, these girls don't typically go into porn from Sunday school. That said, I'm not happy when it turns out to be true and I don't despise these girls for doing what they do. I feel sorry for them yes, but I'm not thrilled that their problems have been revealed.

As far as looking down on porn actresses who may or may not use drugs, I can't remember how many times I've come across some posting or interview with a porn actor/director/producer who freely admits that he's into swilling beer, or popping Xanax, or downing vodka, or smoking pot, sometimes two of the aforementioned at the same time, on a regular basis. I honestly don't understand why so many of you fans assume that porn actresses who develop drug problems had these problems before they got into porn, and that's why they need the money from the films. It's funny, right on this forum, running right now, is the thread "Why do women do porn", in which both Lee Carver and Yani say that they get asked a lot if the women do drugs, which accordingly to both of them is not that common. They both work in the industry, so they ought to know.
Believe me, I don't look down on people who have drug addictions, because I myself became addicted to Xanax a couple years ago. How did it happen? I made the mistake of telling a doctor (HMO-approved) that I had trouble sleeping because sometimes I am too nervous. Out comes the prescription pad, and he assures me that he's giving me a non-additive dosage. After 3 days on the stuff, I was addicted; I could not sleep at all without it, even though it did not make me high.
What kind of l life skills did I have? Well, I've got a Ph.D. in chemistry, and at that point had been working in industry for 16 years. I was 40 years old. I had the responsibility on the job for a line of products with combined sales of $2,000,000 a year. And I was a drug addict.
As it turns out, with Xanax there is no such thing as a non-additive dosage; I only found this out doing some research of my own. After half a year on the stuff, I went to a different doctor, who said she would prescribe sleeping pills for me, so I could get off the Xanax. Are the sleeping pills addictive, I asked? The good doctor said no. This was bullshit ; I looked it up and found out the one she wanted to give me was as addictive as any tranquilizer.
To make a long story short, after an entire year of being a slave to that devil Xanax , I decided on my own that I had to get off it. I stopped cold turkey, as they say, and spent an entire week unable to sleep at all, feeling like I was going to lose my mind. But, I off it I got.
Anyway, the point of this story is that people from all walks of like can get addicted, and it can happen through legitimate doctors and that ubiquitous prescription pad.
You say you don't despise them, but at the same time you're not surprised when one of them turns out to be on drugs, or is a whore on the side. Your latter statement is really laughable, since there are occasionally male porn stars/directors on this very message board, who happily post that they hire prostitutes, even though they get plenty of sex on the film sets, and none of you guys seems the least bit perturbed about this kind of behavior.
As reluctant as I am to say this, I have to agree with Sbando boy, some of you, in your heart of hearts, look down on porn actresses, at the very same time that you lionize the men in the porn industry.
