They could then put these scenes in the "vault" and then release them years later. These scenes would then make tons of money for them as well as jumpstart their career in its later (MILF) stages. It would also be fun to guess which upcoming startlets might have IR scenes in the vault tucked away! This doesnt apply to porn starlets who dont do IR scenes for other reasons. Anyone have thoughts on this?
How 'bout this....I have a question: Why can't there be one IR thread? Anything that has to do with IR should be in that thread. It get's weary when people start threads with a different title , but more than likely it will end up the same 'ol running rants dissing the stars who don't do IR. Then on to race..etc..etc..etc I think I need to take a break from ADT.

Conversely, what if everyone who hated IR threads simply stayed out of them? I can understand being bothered by them, really. But why comment? I think there are guys on here who just like to see the IR threads blocked. I wonder how many of the same names continually pop in these threads just to say "not another IR thread..." Again I wonder, why not just ignore?
It's narcissism. It is not enough that these people not be involved in IR discussion. They are not satisfied until YOU cannot be, either. Why not just ignore, indeed.
I don't see anything wrong with the first post in fact. If you look at porn as a business (which would make sense) it's smart to have highly marketable specialty scenes (which I am loathe to refer to IR as- specialty- but it is what it is in the business) that you own and can release at a later date. Practically every girl with any longevity has her own website, and its pretty easy to get a videocamera and shoot a scene. If porn gets piracy down to a manageable minimum, it makes sense for girls to control a bit more of their destiny and use specialty scenes to their advantage. Now as to why I think it wouldn't be the best idea, simply, the timing doesn't work. Once a girl's day has passed, it just has. I recall when a bunch of Seka's footage that had gone unseen for years was released, probably towards the beginning of my time in college (maybe mid-eighties or so, I dunno). It wasn't IR, but it was Seka looking very fresh and young, but I was already into so many other chicks that I don't think I ever saw it. I think that's my problem with porn in general and the pacing of careers. For the girls who have connected with the audience like Ginger Lynn, Nina Hartley, Belladonna, Jenna, etc. they can do what they want when they want. And people will still be interested. But if you're flash in the pan, in it for a few bucks kind of girls, they simply don't tend to get that same fan loyalty and they can follow the annoying porn career rollout plan to a tee (start out girl-girl, work only with boyfriend, work only with white guys, get bad boob job, start doing anal, start doing DP, start doing creampies, start doing gangbangs and then doing IR) but it won't matter because by the time they get to phase two or three, a lot of the audience stops caring. There's a thousand new girls every year in porn and many of them are just as hot as these girls with the calculated careers. A girl like Sasha Grey or Tori Black who gives a great performance can succeed without boob jobs and without arbitrary limits. So in the end I don't like the idea simply it makes more sense to me that these girls strike while the iron's hot. I would wager most guys can't name more than about twenty five girls if you ask them for their favorite scenes in five minutes or less. There are girls you like and girls you'll watch, but for the most part, the really good ones are a rarer breed.
Most porn starlets don't do IR like this because the only way to tuck it away in your vault is if you pay for and produce the scene as exclusive content, and then actually stay in the industry another five years and have a big enough name to release it. Financially, I would say it would only be worth it if the girl had a big enough name to release it onto her own DVD, and then onto her official site after her DVD releases. If a girl is willing to take that gamble though, you just gave some great advice that has honestly never even crossed my mind as an option.

Why would it be such a major expenditure?
