For me it is mostly about the actors. If there are 2 or 3 actors that I like. I think I'm going to like the movie. And sometimes when I have seen a couple of one series I like to see the others as well. I have chosen movies based on their cover but that ended in a rather disapointing result [Link] |

Concept The right concept can trump #1 and 2 in some cases. For example there's a new Armpit Worship series, something I never thought I'd see. Didn't care who was in it or who directed it, I bought both films immediately. 4. Male Star. Let's face it, unless you're a lez-only guy this is important. 5. Sex act(s) being performed. For example, I will buy a film for no other reason than because it has a pop swap between two women I like. |

How is she going to be presented? What is she going to be doing? 3. Quality. The director or studio is a good indicator of quality 90% of the time. For girl/girl movies, there must be one scene in which an actress is on my A-list and is paired with a second actress which must be at least on my C-list. Occassionally, for a particularly strong combination of content and quality, I will choose a movie in which the most desirable actress is only on my B-list, or maybe C-list. | Cody McLarge Senior Member 2668 Posts 8/10 | In my porn purchasing, I looked first at the cast, still, and especially the trailer. Rarely did I purchase any movie without watching the trailer and thinking, frankly, "I can stroke it to the majority of the scenes." Without a trailer, I'd have to see the scene breakdown, in order. I usually watch films in order, and "enjoy" alternating scenes, especially with an unfamiliar cast. If the order wouldn't work, I'd make it work, watching a different scene in order to avoid blowing my wad on a different girl. Male performers factor into the equation, too - I don't go for IR, and can only take so much of one dude in a film, so no thanks, "Directed by Manuel Ferrara." If I couldn't "enjoy" a majority of the scenes, I'd wait for it to go to VOD and watch only the scenes I cared to watch. I didn't use my AEBN account as much, which is fine, because I have enough minutes to plow through scenes and films nominated for awards that had slipped by me earlier. Next year, I'm going to rely on VOD more, I think. I mean, there will always be movies that I have to get before they become available online. But I don't need a physical copy of every title in the She's So Cute, Jailbait, and My Little Panties series and features I'm only going to watch once. How about everyone else? Let's resurrect this thread. |

Of course, it's not necessarily in this order. I may notice a girl I like starring in a DVD that's selling for a really good price, then read the reviews, then watch the trailer, etc. But if the girl doesn't interest me, it's a non-starter. |
