Cropping an image doesn't change the fact that sex was happening when the image was shot - thus records required. Yes, most sites seem to think having a 2257 statement on their site meets the requirements. It doesn't. And, btw, all of you posting images on the internet are also secondary producers. Hosting hardcore images on our servers is unnecessary. I really wish some of you would stop pushing the limits to see how far you can go. [Link]

I think I was trying to point out somewhere else how insidious this "secondary producer" thing is. I wonder how many people who post porn pictures every day are aware of it? I became aware of it because I used to post on a gay forum where men could post their own pictures and the admin had to stop it because of it. This deals a serious blow to people who post amateur pics. Swingers and amateur couples, I would think, would be especially affected. Of course, there are still sites that will let people post whatever but they're taking their chances. [Link]
