The top two types of porn women are most commonly watching are “Lesbian” and “Gay (male)” porn. 2. The category with the most women viewing it when compared to men, however, is “For Women” porn. 3. “For Women” porn is a thing. 4. If you were to exclude lesbian content, the most popular category for women is “Solo Male” videos. 5. The bulk of what women are searching for beyond that are things like “Rough Sex,” “Double Penetration,” and “Bondage,” which fall under BDSM and hardcore-related categories. 6. Which means that if she ever did, a lot of women would really want to see it.
Data is pretty interesting here ... This is the 2nd time I've seen data showing men have very strong interest in teen porn? I've personally never liked teen theme porn myself because it kinda creeps me out and hints at pedophilia. But I understand the attraction others might have. Still I find it contradictory to what I see being produced by most companies. Of course Max and others were exploiting that market until they got slammed by the feds. Lot of times you see guys posting on ADT asking if IR porn is really all that popular? Well next time show them this data. Both men and women showed strong interest in IR porn. And we must assume the overwhelming majority of those samples came from white men and women. Now "ebony" could also mean black male/black female porn but I bet if you did search using "ebony" most of the hits would be black male/white female porn. Now the interest from women in gay porn? Shocking. Well I do remember reading that lesbians like to watch gay male porn. In fact this was portrayed in the movie "The Kids Are All Right (2010)" by lesbian couple played by Annette Bening and Julianne Moore. But what about straight women watching gay porn also? All of this data comes from people searching for pirated (tube site) porn. I wonder if the data is any different amongst people who are willing to pay for their porn. Perhaps. Perhaps not.
Actually, if you search the term ebony, you're much more likely to end up with female performers than male (and with both white and black male performers). When it is a black male performer, they are almost always going to be tagged as black (as in "big black cock"). If you don't believe me, try the search yourself and see what comes up.
Yeah I debated about posting this since data was obtained from a tube site but I think you could only obtain this kind of unbiased data from such a site because they have such a diversity of porn available to choose from, users can freely choose what they want to see without money being an obstacle, they have more perceived anonymity, and they cannot lie or hedge on survey responses since the computer recording exactly what they search for and what they watched.. Most women are NOT going to openly admit they watch gay porn and neither are most men. So I figure we might as well get some something back from the pirates in this data. Women are not going to spend a lot of money on porn like men do. And they will be much more embarrassed about getting caught with it than men especially if they are caught watching extreme stuff like gay porn or BDSM. This article doesn't explain how does Pornhub know whether the people surfing their website are men or women. You can freely surf their website without identifying yourself in any way. And if you go into their sign-up section, then it looks like they only ask you for your e-mail, user name, and password. Perhaps they are guessing the gender of their signed up users by looking at their user names. Because most women will probably choose female-sounding user names, and men will probably choose male-sounding user names. But this is a very haphazard and inexact way to do statistics of any kind. Because for one thing, most of their visitors probably aren't signed up. And even among their signed up users, Pornhub is just guessing their gender. Someone searching for "teen porn" isn't necessarily looking for barely legal, girls in pig tails. They're not necessarily even looking for actual teens. Considering we don't have categories for specific age groups, but rather two ends of a spectrum (MILF/cougar or teens),it's reasonable to assume that they might be simply looking for "young" as in "not old." Ogi Ogas and Sai Gaddam make this point in their massive analysis of internet porn searches, A Billion Wicked Thoughts.
^ Perhaps but they also could have used the search term "college" or "babe" for younger women? Neither of those terms show up in top searches. Yet "babysitter" also showed up in top searches.
Based on my personal experience, Gore Gore Girl has it right. When I started getting into porn I was in my early twenties. Which is very unlikely to happen at a free tube website, such as Pornhub.com There is no reasonable explanation for how Pornhub.com got its information about its users for this study. Which is why I say that this study is a hoax that some people have fallen for.
^ The data was provided by google analytics which is based upon users who are logged in to their google account while surfing, and yes, their google account info does know their gender. It's one of the details you can provide when you sign up for google (now google plus). I would assume that if anyone has not provided their gender on their account info, then their data would not show up in the data, just like all the people who are not signed in to a google account. The next question of course becomes: Are the porn preferences of people with google plus accounts the same as the population in general?
^ With a large enough sample size (and I think that the sample size of people that view Pornhub material that don't bother to log out of their Google accounts before doing so would actually be fairly large), I would think that it should be. And if Google wanted to be dicks about it, they could probably just ascertain your gender through your e-mail (but not display it publicly).
I suspect that overall the data is not overly useful outside of pirated porn. To begin with, the data is flawed. If it goes by people being logged into Google, you don't actually know the sex of the person doing the search. For example, my computers are generally always logged into Google. If someone else did a search here on that site, it would show then as a male, regardless of the sex of the person actually searching. Beyond that, you can see that categories like feature are completely missing, which could indicate no interest or that viewers that enjoy features tend to purchase porn. Also, since this is a pirated directory, ie free, there may be above average instances of people looking to see someone/some act they are curious about, not necessarily something they would continuously view or even view again. Also, as exhibited here, the data can be interpreted in different ways. 'Ebony' has already been interpreted as 'IR' even though under technical terms that would just imply that those searches were for black actors or actresses. Also the assumption has been made on that same set of data that "we must assume the overwhelming majority of those samples came from white men and women," which is an assumption that can't be made. There isn't a sampling size, at least as presented here, which is important to know. Personally, I feel that the data from an online pay site and the data from an online DVD/Blu-ray store would be more useful as to what people are paying for, which would be a better indication of the marketability of different aspects, along with categories that have a better definition. As it stands, this just is data that allows pirated porn sites to know what to try to have to lure in people in my opinion.

^ This goes back to what I said earlier. What someone "tells" you when interviewed for a survey or poll isn't necessarily what they actually do. The nice thing about computers tracking what people are actually searching for and actually watching is you eliminate the chance people are lying. For all the people speculating how they collected the data you can just goto to their blog site and ask them. Their blog has lot of similar post regarding insights into their data (e.g. differences by country). They also say their data is based on billions of hits. That's billions with a "b".
^ I'd say that people often lie about themselves, when they open free accounts that don't require credit card information. Because this is one way to hide your identity from your spouse, your family, your boss at work, from someone trying to steal your identity, and from government agents, who might want want to blackmail you into cooperating with them for something they want. And one common thing to do in such lying is to change the gender of your online personality. Because this excludes your completely from the list of possible owners of that online account. If you want to surf the web for porn anonymously, then one way to do it is not to log in anywhere. But another way to do it is to create a fake profile and surf the web with this profile. The second way some people might consider more secure, because it will potentially throw off track anyone trying to find their true identity. It makes so much sense to lie on the internet that a lot of people are probably doing it. And that's why I say that the above statistics about porn probably aren't accurate.
First off this statistics are completely flawed for many reasons. It's pirated content , when it's free people tend to take anything , those who pay only pick up what they actually prefer. There's no statistics about ages , some here assumed that "teen sex" is close to pedo but aside that many of us watch porn with new stars who are often eighteen or nineteen , could also mean that many viewers are actually teenager themselves looking for girls or men their age. It is known that many minors watch pirated porn , I don't think they would look for middle-aged performers even a thirty years old guy may be too old in their eyes already. Such sample is too confused to give any actual statistics on porn tastes , also they do not differentiate any area , it's a mixed worldwide sample , Japanese porn is very high in there , but I doubt it would be that high in Europe or the USA (500 million plus 300 million inhabitants) , in China , Korea and the whole Asia on the other hand (2 to three Billion inhabitants with China alone almost doubling the EU and the USA combined) may be totally different
I've never watched scat porn even if I can find it free, because I'm not interested in it. Why should it be different for every other genre? Maybe if a person if curious could watch once or twice something he don't know, but normally one watch the things he's looking for. Those statistics could have many flaws, but not this.
