One of my favorite stars is Michelle Wilde. To be honest, in the cold light of day there are and have been many performers who look as good, or better. Tricia Deveraux will tell you that in her early scenes, she wasn't the same performer as later. But I only saw the later scenes. There she has that look in her eye that connects.

1) Enjoyment. I want to see girls who look like they like what they are doing.

2) A girl who seems to be showing her real emotions. I like to see the real girl as much as possible rather than a persona.

A good example of #2 is Catalina. She was always so "on the surface." I loved her scene in Cockless 2 where she was with another girl for the first time and basically kept us updated with how she felt about it. Really though, she was like this is just about every scene I ever saw with her. I never saw her Max Hardcore scenes which might be quite intense if she maintained her normal emotional transparency in the face of Max's shenanigans.

Sometimes the directors would orchestrate her actions so thoroughly that it would be hard to see the real girl in there, but she was always trying to come out. An example of this was in a Mike John film where as she was either getting DP'd or about to be, he asked her if she was a romantic in her scenes (which of course is a loaded word in the Mike John world) her reaction was "If the guys let me."

Faith in A Good Source of Iron showed both traits. That of course got me very interested in her.

The first scene I ever saw with Jenna Jameson was in Up'n Cummers. She so obviously enjoyed what she was doing there that I was not suprised when she became a superstar.

And then, there are the women who just know how to put on a good show. Good porn has to look as good as it feels for the talent and they need to be aware of what looks good on a screen and what doesn't. A video screen just can't do justice to the human body and good talent needs to know how to compensate for that without overcompensating with obviously exaggerated motions, sounds and so forth. It's one thing to enjoy having sex. It's quite another to enjoy it and make it look like you're enjoying it on a two-dimensional screen.

The best female performers (IMHO) seem to know how to put themselves in the shoes of the male porn consumer and what he wants to see. Whether they just naturally know these things or research them, I don't know but some women are obviously natural performers.

There is no one look that catches my eye. It's certainly more of an "IT" factor. Some girls have "IT", while others are just going through the motions and it's easy to tell that they would rather be elsewhere.
