Don't know whether this is best posted here or in the Shopping Info section -- guess it depends on what the answer is. Anyway ...

I just tried to place a web order with Excalibur (I know, I know, but I'm heavy into their Exchange stuff) and it wouldn't complete because of some sort of "new law prohibiting adult sales to my zip code via the internet," at least that's what they said when I called them about it! They said phone or mail orders were still OK (so I placed one), but not internet orders. Funny -- another outfit accepted my order for another adult video the same day, no problem!

So, what the f--k's going on? Is it just Excalibur getting a little touchy, or is it really some new "law" or "agreement" trampling on my rights as an adult to make internet purchases of adult material??? If
anyone has any knowledge about this, I'd sure like to know about it!

I doubt that it's a new law. It's more likely that they are choosing to adhere to an existing law in place in your area. There are a few states, many counties and a few major cities that have anti-porn legislation in place. Most online retailers have recently gotten a refresher course on the no-ship-zones with the help of the studios. Most of the major studios are working directly with their customers to ensure that all existing laws are followed. (I commend their efforts.) Ashcroft will be cracking down on porn. Blatant disregard for the rules only makes his job easier.

I do find it odd that phone and mail orders are OK.

That is odd to accept phone and mail orders to be shipped there, but not throught the net. Maybe it is still in the process of changing.

Buy as much as you can!!!

good question, foxdvd. As this is bound to keep coming up,
and I fear the list will keep getting longer..maybe I should post this question for the affiliates.

That is a great idea. Maybe some of the online store owners that are members can put up a list.
