More narrowly, it refers to achieving and exercising positions of governance — organized control over a human community, particularly a state.
some see the industry as a way to govern what consumers see, hear and think..a multi billion industry has a lot of clout and influence...good thing is the internet allows consumers to build a company and produce the content they want to see and hear. So if they want Black performers they can do it themselves and not wait for a company to do it for them. It is just a matter of working out the details and profit sharing.
