I respect your opinion but don't share it Dan. My opinion is that if Porn really wants to be legitimized and enjoy all the benefits of a non-persecuted enterprise, the same as any OTHER type of legal business in the USA, then they MUST start behaving like a real business. OSHA has relevancy there. So does taxation, employee benefits, etc etc etc. They can't have it both ways. And to want to have it both ways means someone is being greedy.

Then watching porn won't be that much fun for porn-fans anymore. But a good way to escape this bias towards business at the expense of fun is to make porn less professional and more amateur. When the lady is self-employed. And she makes her own porn-film with a couple of willing studs. Then she doesn't need to answer to OSHA or to any other government agency. Perhaps amateur porn produced by self-employed ladies is the way of the future for porn. Because such ladies are more free than anyone else to make any kind of porn they want to make. And with today's technology, it's not that hard for amateurs to make porn films.

^When making porn professionally means that DP's, DAP's, and DPP's are not allowed. While amateurs are free to make that kind of porn and perform any kind of sex-stunts they like. Then guess who has the advantage when it comes to attracting hardcore porn-fans? My point is that too much government regulation stifles freedom and creativity in porn-making. And a good way to escape government restrictions that stifle freedom and creativity is to have self-employed amateurs make porn movies. But amateurs often don't have the means to market and sell their products. Which means that mainstream porn companies can market and sell amateur porn films for amateurs in return for a share of their profits. I just want to clarify does anyone in the industry actually see a decrease in DAP DP or DPP caused by OSHA regs or are we unnecessarily worried?
^Cripple imagination? It's not just restricted to porn makers and fans. It's our whole 21st century society if you ask me. How can you blame us? With so much media created for us, be it TV, music, film, internet, and who knows what else, our brains just don't do a lot of "creation" in our day-to-day lives - unless of course we make a conscious decision to do so. And most people don't do that, because they don't have a reason to.
I noticed this too about double anal and double vag as well. I think, like in all sorts of life, porn goes through fads. For awhile it was squirting, then oil, then MILFS, DAP and so on and so forth. Maybe it does have something to do with the government crackdown, I wouldn’t be surprised.

The secret of the Missing DAP may simply be Economics. Scene fees for the girls get higher the more holes you use and the more you put in each hole. You also need more guys who can maintain a stiffy rubbing penii with another guy of uncertain sexual orientation while inside some girls' hole. At the same time the number of units of a new video shipped are going down. Some directors try to counter this with better sets and much more material in the release - 2 disc sets - but that also costs more money. There is always a benefit to avoid driving up costs and I think right now most directors just don't see a likelihood of increasing revenue by adding a DAP. The one who might have shot a DAP three years ago seem to be settling for a DP and using - gasp! - creativity and better camerawork/lighting/etc to make a great scene. Add to that there are fewer up-for-everything Anal Queens today than a couple of years ago. If some director came up with her scene fee I'm sure Kelly Wells would do a TAP. Maybe Audrey Hollander if she's still shooting. But there aren't many others any more. Another possibility: Chico Wang, who shot a lot of DAPs, is dead. Red Light District is nearly dead, and Anabolic seems unsure if it is dead or not. CAL-OSHA is probably less of a factor for DAPs. They can only regulate what happens on a set that is within their jurisdiction, not what is depicted in a video. Were there a demand for DAPs yet a fear of CAL-OSHA I'd expect more scenes to be imported from overseas.
