Why do so many guys like anal? As astraight guy, I've never wanted to have anal with a girl, nor have I wanted to give a rimjob or to recieve one. Why do so many people get off on this? I'm into some other stuff that some people dislike(like titty fucking) but to me anal just seems gross. Anyone agree with me? Can anyone inform me as to why it's so great?

I agree with you. I have no reason to drive down the dirt highway, nor do I care to see it. What is strange is how 95% of porn has to focus on these scatological sex acts. Kinda sucks for those of us who hate anal/gonzo.
Talking to friends that like it via porn, I get the sense that it's kind of a taboo sort of thing that's a thrill for them to see. There's the perspective for a lot of men that seeing a good-looking girl "take it in the ass" is the apex of porn and sex. Speaking for myself, I like to see women experience pleasure and enjoy sex so the fact that most women seem to like anal about as much as a root canal makes it something I use the fast forward button on 99% of the time. I've also always thought of anal scenes being more about the male(s) in the scene and less about the female since all we ever see of her is shots of her grimacing. I buy porn for the women and their reactions to pleasureable stimulation so that's another reason I don't care for anal. If a porn flick proudly proclaims "all-anal" on the front of it's package, that's definitely a no buy for me.

I like anal because my orgasms are much more intense with anal sex. And I like watching it, because a girl can't fake liking anal sex. If she's moaning in pleasure, you HAVE to believe that she likes it.
I've had some girlfriends that hated it (read: would not even have crossed their minds -- I've never actually HAD anal sex with a girl that didn't like it) and some that loved it. In all cases where sex play did evolve towards the anal she always played the major encouraging role.
Once a girl has tried it and liked it my experience has been that they have stronger orgasms when anal stimulation is involved-- not just anal sex but oral sex with finger or toy play for the ass etc. So I guess that's a second for Tricia and Heaven from a male POV.
I don't think 90% of women hate anal sex, though I am sure that many do. I think many have not tried it because they think it is "dirty" (as apparently do some guys as evidenced by this thread) and many have not tried it 'correctly', as in slowly, carefully and lovingly (at least to start!) with a lot of patience and a lot of lube.
