What's up with Luke(Luke is Back)

I watch skanky reality shows but I don't respect it as art or anything of high class. However, I am not interviewing skanks on reality TV. Luke from Luke is Back has been mentioned to have religous objections toward porn but he still interviews porn stars. I don't get it and for that reason, I refuse to listen to his interviews. Look I can somewhat get an 18 year old frat boy who goes into the porn store to watch some vids and talk crap about porn stars. However, I find it disturbing and puzzling if you find our indsutry debasing, why you would interview porn actresses. Maybe it's me but that is weird. [Link]

Excited by the open sexuality, but full of guilt; a user of others, and used by others; rational one moment, wacko the next; sometimes truthful, sometimes not. Luke, like many performers, was never able to reconcile the two sides of his personality. So leaving the industry was his way of choosing one Luke Ford over the other. What was "good" about Luke Ford's column was his willingness to expose the "dark" side of the industry--and not just the performers. He was willing to write about the business side of porn--and the inequities between companies and performers--long before other porn writers. IMO Luke also felt compassion for performers, even though he often "tough loved" them--by exposing their weaknesses and embarrassing them by reporting their actions in his column. There's nobody like him on the scene today. [Link]

Click to expand I agree with your assessment of Luke. I am not sure what you mean by user. I really don't like people with those type of views in the porn industry. The same standards I hold for entertainment. Chris Brown singing love songs after going gangsta on Rhinnna is simply unacceptable. They keep denigrating the use of porn, or the performers, or people that watch certain acts etc etc. You see a lot of these confused people who probably were raised conservative but then feel entitled to watch porn but at the same time can't stop hating the performers or other porn consumers. I've had a brief look at some other porn forums and that seems to be the only thing going on there. It's truly depressing how sad and pathetic those kind of people are. [Link]

From approximately 1998 to 2005, I was jerking off to a lot of videos primarily featuring anal sex and the associated acts (anal gaping, cumfarting, A2M, etc). (Prior to that, I only had a 486 which wasn't capable of handling such content--it struggled with decompressing mere JPEGs.) I latched onto Silvia Saint and Alisha Klass, and later Gauge and Ryan Conner and Aurora Snow, among others, and I loved what they did. At least, I did at first. I'm not exactly sure when the whole "guilty pleasure" began to set in, but set in it did. By that, I mean I felt vaguely unhappy and disgusted with myself after fapping. I couldn't explain such feelings until some years afterward, though. I continued to watch the roughest and nastiest anal content, partly due to the taboo/curiosity factor, but also because non-anal content at the time typically avoided showing the womens' browneyes. You see, my early exposure to porn, beginning around 1993 when I was 13 and jerking off to Playboy magazines, left me with something that is very rare. I actually objectified and fetishized the female anus in the typical sense of fetishism (search for perfection and hatred of damage or imperfection). That happened before social stigmas surrounding the much-maligned and undervalued asshole had set in and could make me end up like the typical anus "fetishist" who only has a destructive drive to damage and ruin that which they are compelled to observe (although that may not explain such individuals; it may instead be some combination of fixation on the vulva, destructive mental sadism, ignorance, and apathy). Thus I began to move away from anal content around 2005-2006, when I was fortunate to discover that some vaginal-only female pornstars happily "teased" viewers with their buttholes in many scenes and pissed off the anal-obsessed fans. Riley Mason was one such rare person who weathered the porn industry's rampant anal madness and didn't give in to it (on video, at least). Unfortunately, I had to set aside a lot of minor pet peeves in the process; Riley wasn't exactly beautiful to me, and a few other things about her annoyed me, but most of the extremely attractive women were unfortunately having anal sex by the time I was moving away both from the act and from women who ever obviously engaged in it. One thing I noticed after I made that transition was the absence of the "guily pleasure" feelings after fapping to porn. Women don't make quite as many "pain faces," if any during vaginal sex. That's pretty much the major differentiating factor between vigorous, fast-paced vaginal sex and similarly friction-filled anal sex -- pain. It's been speculated that mental sadism, a pathological mental illness, is a conditioned behavior, and certainly porn has proven that to my satisfaction. If it weren't for my very unusual fetish, I strongly suspect that I would be much worse off. After all, anal sex allows many porn viewers to have their cake and eat it too: pain, sex, visible vulva to jerk off to, mutilation of a body part that few care about (until they have problems with their own)... I can understand the appeal only too well. But I never truly gave in to it. I'll stick with the traditional, "boring," pleasurable fucking of the durable tunnel built to withstand the passage of babies. Call it CindiLoftus.com or WackyPornGossip.com or DarrahFordsTampon.com or something, but it seems kind of dishonest to ride on Luke's brand. Also, Luke did a lot of original reporting, not all of it accurate but he did break a story or two. I don't see much of that, unless you count Darrah's hysterical and un-factchecked rants. (Actually, those do qualify as comedy so maybe you're doing something right). I do notice that a lot of the content seems fixated on insane nobodies or washed-up industry hacks that no one's interested in, or is just plain shilling. I don't know ... Any original interviews are doing via phone, e-mail or text message. Nothing can beat someone who lives in LA and actually interviews their subjects face-to-face. Loftus is far, far away in Florida. Even though Luke struggled with making his very meager living off of a porn-related job, I felt that he was objective. Towards the end of the site when a lot of girls would refuse to be interviewed by him unless it was videotaped, it just proved that he had been truthful. That these girls really said the things as he quoted. Gram Ponante has replaced Luke Ford for me as well. [Link]
