One of the hallmarks of a child molester is their lack of empathy for their victims. They might feel some, but not much. What they commonly are concerned about if first confronted by non law enforcement is stuff like "Don't tell my wife", "I'll lose my job", "I can't go to jail, I'd never survive" and other worries focused on themselves. 'Barely Legal' suggests the same mindset - sex with the youngest you can get away with, sex with the youngest you won't go to jail for, sex with the youngest that won't cause you too much hassle. I'm not talking about 18-20 yr old guys here. If I was still that age I'm sure I'd fantasise about the cheerleaders, although I'd also be fantasising about women a bit more worldly too. But if you're 35 and keen on 'Barely Legal' I recommend you take Socrates' advice and examine your life carefully. I'm not much into censorship. I'm not saying it should be banned. I don't like it so I don't watch it. But I also find it generally creepy, and if I knew a 35 year old who did specifically like 'Barely Legal' porn I would be untrusting of them around girls who were not yet legal. [Link] |

But generally, as long as they're not specifically pretending to be children, I don't see anything to make any fuss over. Dirty old men have been lusting after young women forever. And to some degree, you're correct. They generally will go as young as the law will allow. But the point you're missing is most people obey the law and the law is generally set by consensus. Maybe the age of consent will go even higher (perhaps to 21) at some point but until it does, you can't really point your finger at people who are obeying the law as it sits. I do think it's a shame that so much of 18-20 YO porn is dedicated to depicting the girls as being far more naive and "innocent" (shall we say) than most girls that age actually are (Or really ever have been). I've never seen a real college girl skipping happily along sucking on a huge lollipop outside of porn. I was watching one porn scene recently that seemed like it was going to be more promising in this regard. The girl was playing a high school student. Instead of asking her the usual question of how old she is, the guy asked her what grade she was in. Finally, this looked like a porn scene that got it. It had finally found a way to way to maintain the BL fantasy without the viewers having to hear that same old tired and trite "I'm 18" line that's in every other BL scene. The girl in the scene responded that she was in the 10th grade. But then, just when you thought this scene was setting up to be a great scene, they have to ruin it by later asking her age, to which she replied that she was 19. OK. I know this is only porn. But who in the hell is 19 and in the 10th grade? You're not even supposed to still be in high school at 19. Either say she's one or the other, but not both. Personally, I would rather the girl not mention her age at all. I know it sounds trivial. But stuff like this can ruin a porn scene for me. Even though it's only porn, it can still atleast try to be a little realistic. Anyway, that's my gripe about BL porn. Everybody already knows that all the performers are adults.
