Click to expand The first ever mention of gaping anals that I found is in Private Film: Tower 1 directed by Pierre Woodman. A reviewer of this film praises the three gaping anals in this film and tries to persuade film producers to show more of such gaping. According to this reviewer, many porn actresses refused to let producers film their gaping asses, due to their embarrassment about it. Film producers routinely cut out gaping-ass segments during their editing to address such concerns. Which suggests to me that gaping anals often happened on their own, without the lady even trying, but until 1995, porn producers cut out and discarded such segments, because they believed that gaping asses would turn off the viewers. Gaping anals didn't really become popular, until in 1997 Jean-Yves Le Castel started producing the Assman series, which featured anal gaping as one of its main attractions. Every back cover in this series showed a gaping asshole front and center. I think the main attraction of a woman's gaping ass for a guy is that she looks very easy to penetrate and couple with. Penetrating a woman's ass for anal sex can be very difficult and uncomfortable for the woman, if she isn't ready for it. Which is a turn off for guys. And of course the lady looking very easy to penetrate anally is the opposite. It's a turn on for guys who like anal sex. But I think a lot of porn films overdo the gaping act, which turns off many viewers. Because shallow reasons don't necessarily tell you enough how to improve gaping scenes. Not all gaping is alike. Some gaping scenes are a lot more hot than others are. You need to understand exactly why people like one gaping scene but not another, so that you can make more popular films. You can try to improve films by trial and error. But this is a much more expensive and less efficient way to do it. If you have some theories and ideas about why people like or dislike something, then you can experiment much more efficiently and find what people like without bankrupting yourself in the process.
