I can certainly understand not wanting to have to dig through inches of hair to find the actual pussy lips. I'm not as much commenting on why people in their own private lives shave but rather why shaved bodies of both genders has become the norm in porn. A number of my female friends who shave explain it as simply a means of keeping clean, which is perfectly reasonable and logical. In porn however, girls who are not completely shaved are often asked to do so (or if they do, stylize it in such a way that it does not obstruct the view of the vaginal lips). Sasha Grey, who I would argue is the most beautiful woman working in porn today, thankfully keeps enough of her pubic hair and has a natural enough looking body that she actually looks like a person, not a walking blow-up doll. As far as I'm concerned (and once again, this is just my opinion), beauty cannot be bought or created with injections, dyes, and other apparent physical alterations which, when applied so many times, simply leave the body in shambles. Again, this is just my opinion and I mean no offense to any of the walking blow-up dolls out there, but I just don't buy the mass appeal of people who don't look like real people. |

They tend to use vicarious arguments like how hair is not "clean" and how she is not taking care of herself, but if you listen closely you discover they can't handle the natural look of all women. I call BS on those who do that. Again, I'm not targeting anyone in particular, most people on here are thoughtful and nuanced about it, but we've all heard from those who aren't. I think it's a sign of disconnect and alienation when people are that hostile toward something that is natural and healthy. If you can't handle looking at bodies of healthy and attractive people just because they don't remove all body hair, you need to re-think your attitude. Before you flame me, again please note that there is nothing wrong with preferences, as I'm sure some will misunderstand this. |

She rose to the top of the top where no one could touch her, and then decided that she had seen enough poorly shaved girls and decided to let hers grow. Hopefully, up-and-coming stars will start to copy her, and we'll get a nice balance of bald, trimmed, and hairy. That way, all tastes will be served and everyone will be happy. As I said above, I now refuse to buy porn where the women don't have bushes. Which basically leaves me with classics from the 1970s and 80s and a lot of no-name girls in niche productions. It's a sad commentary when something as natural as a woman's pubic hair has become a special perversion. |
