There has been a lot of talk about Devon not only on this Message Board but others. Also she writes, regularily, on her MySpace page.
From what I can gather, Devon's pretty happy NOT making porn videos. Her MySpace Front Page diss of the video porn biz will make it difficult for her to come back with any of the present-day production companies, or work with many of today's male talent.
Career-wise, Devon has been a Contract Star her entire video porn life, but given the poor economic picture/low profits throughout the industry as a whole, now is not the best time for a (veteran) girl without a video contract to find one. Unless, like Janine, the girl never did guys but is now willing to go b/g and anal. Which means only someone like retired Latina Star Felicia fits this profile.
My best guess is that since Devon is still in her mid-20s and her looks seem to be holding up, she can wait as many as five years for the porn economy to turn around--and her fans have tired of viewing all of her old scenes many times over. Then, if she gets the right money offer, she can return for a final year/two of video work.
Otherwise, Devon will continue to hang with her rocker boyfriend, do the ocassional photo-shoot and feature dance gig, and maybe put together a new website.
By the way, and slightly off topic: the porn industry is going through major changes. And, if a performer has "name recognition," the real money is NOT in sexvids anymore. Dancing and websites can produce a good income, too. Which is why stars with name recognition (like Krystal Steal, Devon, Felicia, Tawny Roberts, Lexie Marie, Nina Mercedez, Sunrise Adams, etc.) don't seem to be worried about not being connected to a production company. They can make good money, with less (health) risk, and have more control over their product/image. Also, this new economics allows the female performer to keep her boyfriend/husband happy, too--none of that fucking every guy in town stuff to deal with. Not too difficult if a girl has "a name" and fan base.

It's been posted on another thread and Devon's MySpace page that she's going to be Feature Dancing, beginning the end of August. She's currently only scheduled for the east coast, in the Carolinas; but, that could change and her fans in other parts of the USA, and Canada, could get to see her live.

If Devon wants to make a comeback....she's get into gonzo. Gonzo is the big thing right now and forever. Being a contract girl has it's ups and downs, my opinion.
