I'm often astonished at how formulaic porn is now. Gonzo is the ideal, sorry..the PERFECT platform to do absolutely anything and I mean anything - type of chick, mood, vibe, outfits, personalities yet 90% Gonzo is exactly the fucking same. It makes no sense.

Given the limitless human mind and the scope of sexual things to do I find it really weird that that gonzo which by its nature should be off the fucking hook is often so predictable.
I'm almost bored with it, which tells you everything you need to know.

If I see one more gonzo movie by numbers I'll have to conclude that the porn industry is inhabited by filmmakers who don't have sexual fantasies. Watching gonzo and you would think that humans only had 3 sexual fantasies!

God bless John Stagliano who is and always will be the only pornographer with the intelligence, imagination and talent to really make porn that truly stirs the soul.

I maybe 'just porn' but that' akin to saying that its 'only music' or 'only art' if you are going to create something which not do something innovative, exciting, new, fresh, different? Porn is the ideal forum for all of these thing..people look to porn to see things they haven't seen before, things to excite, things to replicate.

Incidently Tony I watch Xana and Dax and thought it was a fantastic porno, warm, loving and incredibly sexy. A world away from 99% of porn.

I am very pleased and flattered that you enjoyed Xana and Dax . Perhaps for some people 'porn is all about fantasy'. For myself, I want to see a cinematic idealization of real life. Good surf movies remind me how lucky I am to be able to surf. Good porn movies remind me how lucky I am to be able to fuck.

We'll do our best not to let you down with future releases.

So what is it, in your opinion, that makes John Stagliano stand out from other pornographers? And what would you recommend as titles that reflect the best of his work?

John Stagliano has a vision that reflects his fetish..The Fashionistas is incredible as is Ass Adoro. He understands the beauty of the female form, is not just about "Lets fuck this bitch in the ass" he teases, he flatters he looks to showcase the desire within women. He provides them with a platform to show off, to look wonderful and the be worshipped by the male talent.

All of his work is genius of sorts..its hard to pick one out. its depends on your mood.

Stagliano is more than just a pornographer he is an artist of the female form with an understanding of the viewer that has been copied but never bettered.

I've only seen a very few of John Stagliano's flicks, but the things that sets them apart for me is that even when what he's doing doesn't turn my crank, I always get the feeling that JS thinks he's the luckiest guy in the world to be doing what he's doing.

When watching other videos, as often as not, I get the creeping sense that the director is outraged that life treated him so unfairly that he ended up shooting (gasp!) porn for a bunch of reprobate masturbators.

Maybe some people find shame and rage sexy. I don't.

John "Buttman" Stagliano is fascinated with the visual aspects of anal, for example he likes it when a toy plops into the 3rd opening, sound and visual aspects turn him on.

But when it comes to arousing a the girl or starting anal slow he has to do more, but I've seen him only in "the ultimate guide to anal sex for woman" where he was co-director. But that's 5 years ago, maybe he has learned in the past.

I just bought Hellcats 7 and the scene with Tiffany Holiday was the very creative. She takes on 3 guys, gapes and pees (not "squirt's) all over herself before she swallows. She looks great. The 1st time I saw her was with Selena Steele and where she drank cum like it was communion but was disappointed in her gangbang girl movie. Her Helllcats scene was great, sorry to hear she may not be doing so well - tha fact is not all girls can pull off a "creative" scene.

$$$ - as long as people buy, there is no reason to be creative. In that creativity is uncertain in the market that it will appeal to and has no certainties in the size of its market, it is a risk.

If you were to compare both Picasso and porn? I would say Porn is in its "blue Period".

The people have spoken, and their common points of interest have become more than obvious.
However mundane these wishes may be, more often than not, including them is paramount to pleasing the average viewer's expectations.
Once these anticipated priorities are met, a director is free to twist it 360 degrees, in any direction, with any amount of creative zeal, breaking rules of routine, and uniformity whenever possible.

The problems however, arise when directors get creative with what the viewers consequently base their expected return of investment upon.
A movie's title, cover pics, or captions that lead viewers to select it, sparks anticipation, and consequently a certain measure of expectation.
Jerking that expectation to any degree, let alone 360, before satiating it, I believe tends to piss viewers off, and rates high among the miscues that likely has led to the moritorium on creativity.
If its an oral flick, meeting expectation could require as little as making sure whenever cum flies, that its swallowed.
Outside of that, I would believe directors have a wide berth for creating the manner, and means for why, when, and how that cum manages to fulfill those expectations.
