Not very many people in the US have multiformat DVD players (although God alone knows why, their affordable enough..) The one bright shining exception is computer DVD Rom drives. Mainstream movies are usually released on DVD in the US before they are worldside. So, while people in other parts of the world, there is an incentive for many people to buy multi-format, multi-zone DVD players, outside of porn, that incentive doesn't exist in the US. [Link] |
