I'm sure this has been covered over time but why did Randy West stop putting out new Up and Cummers? For as 70's as the guy could be and as goofy as his pre-talks were, the chicks were usually hot, I liked the way he had them spread out and display the goods during his interviews, and the sex was almost always good. They used to come out about once a month and now nothing but compilations. Did something happen to Randy, or what? Am I the only guy that misses them?
I don't miss them that's for sure because I think they were very poor. Picture quality wise and heat wise. I still don't understand why Stagliano would bother with them.
I still remember back in 1994 on the forum of Ed Powers he was bragging how Evil Angel would make him even bigger and how much Ed Powers sucked and stuff like that. It was the first adult forum I posted on.
Randy's getting a tad old. I noticed a significant change over the last few PleaseCumInsideMe releases (which are compilations of old UpAndCummers with creampie scenes). He aged from middle aged to white haired man. (He was supposedly born in 1947 making him 58 years old!)
I of course respectfully disagree with Ramsey. I understand his point, as in comparison with current titles that UAC were far from extreme. But that's just me..
I like real sex with the ladies treated nice. Not the current genre of stick as many dicks into every orifice and slap and choke and spit and degrade. But again, that's just me.
Plus at least in the PCIM series, several featured "supposed" boyfriends rather than simply Randy or some typical porn stud, so it leant to more real scenes. No, I'm not into the "features" but definitely like pleasant sex, not degrading from my porn.
I hope he does more or releases more PCIM comps (since I havn't seen most of the original UACs)

Randy's titles are now all with New Machine.
At the beginning of putting out DVDs, Randy signed a contract with New Machine to give them exclusive rights to his DVDs. Over time, that it made it more and more difficult for Evil Angel to market his movies, as we were in effect, only marketing his VHS.
Once I found Randy's movies it allowed me to stop renting Ed Powers. I owe Randy gratitude for that. I haven't watched any recent volumes, but there was a lot of really hot sex and fresh nubile girls in those earlier numbers. Say what you will about Randy (and I've said it, too, I'm sure) but U&C has been a "classic" porn series. Oddly enough, I find that I can return to an old scene and enjoy as much as anything else on the shelf. The scenes are simple and there's never more going on than you can actually process, and Randy is smart enough to get other studs in on the dime. Also, the New Machine DVDs are widely disocunted. You can grab 'em for about 10 bucks a pop these days, retail.
I like the U&C series as well. Mostly because Randy gets the girls before they get too homogenized by the industry. He doesn't direct the girls much, so if they are cheerful, they come off as cheerful, if they are aggressive, they look aggressive, and if they are shy, they seem shy. Inexperienced, businesslike, whatever. Their personalities show. A lot of the girls have their personality drain away after they get overly directed about the 'right' way to be.
It's a shame for Randy that the fact that he was further ahead of the curve than the rest of Evil Angel, when it came to getting his stuff released on DVD, that ended up being the reason that he ended up having to part ways with EA.
Regardless of what New Machine has become, they were on the leading edge of DVD when it was first introduced. They just let everyone else catch up to and pass them.
What was probably a very good decision 6 or 7 years ago, has finally backfired. His biggest mistake was probably not making sure that there was a way of getting out of the New Machine deal at some point after Evil Angel began distributing the rest of their line on DVD.
Funny you say picture quality was not good.. I thought it was about as good as it gets.. I really liked the series .. Lots of very pretty girls Well at least one per episode. The girls seemed happy to be there and I guess the sex could have been hotter but Im not in to the circus acts. All in all very good effort and I have seen just about every one I'll miss U+cummers also. Maybe someone else will pick up where he left off.
Based on what Tricia wrote,it doesn't sound like Randy specifically sold them rights to the Up & Cummers series. It sounds like he sold them the DVD rights to all titles created out by him.
For what it's worth let me give a big thumbs up to Randy's "Up and Cummers" series. His production qualities may be arguable (I never thought so) but I don't think anyone can dispute the volume of newbies and true "up and cummers" he featured throughout the years. I used to enjoy his releases very much and couldn't wait to see who he would have next.
While Ed Powers may have featured more porn girls over his 300 or so releases with "Dirty Debs", Randy also featured many, MANY newcomers with a more easy, laid-back feel without the inane, wood-killing ramblings and "underwear on the head" shit that now is in practically every Powers release.
Couldn't agree you more. What I like his works are:
1) Real sex, 99.9% natural girls 2) Reactions from the girls is close to realism (at least the way it looks). Not those "scripted" hardcore circus act like RLD, PXP. I'm not say they bad but they just too "scripted" for my liking. 3) A "gentlemen" for sex term, mostly focus on giving the girls pleasure rather than degrading them (like choking, slaping etc...). 4) More on girls initiation, i.e do on top willingly, BJ till cum without hesitation not those bored typical squat down and let the guys finish the job (cumming). 5) Creampie, oral creampie (yes, I found many on these). And very nice to see. But hey, that just me. 6) "Natural" position while fucking, unlike those "scripted" camera angle. Not normal though.
Sadly, apart from his series, I hardly find anyone else that put similar goodies like he does.
