The studio's PR people want to be able to carefully control the public image, and stray BBS comments picked up months later by Luke Ford or AVN don't help. I've seen before & after pictures of Teagan's nose and while it was worked on I don't know why she bothered - she made a barely-noticeable change. That's a good thing and a good result, but it doesn't seem worth the risk. PS. It's fairly to see why the girls like a contract. She was the hot girl for awhile there (I never really saw what the big deal was with her), she is no Jenna jameson though. Jenna's scenes live up to the hype, she eats pussy and sucks cock like a demon possessed. But back to Teagan. Everyone was asking when her next movie was, any flick that had her in it was a hot renter and seller, people sought out her movies and talked about them frequently. Then she signed an exclusive contract. These girls make their names doing gonzo: DP's, swallowing, anal, DPP, double anal etc. Once they get well known the "feature" studios offer them a contract for good money and little work. This is very appealing for the girl, problem is that porn is DRIVEN by the gonzo market now, it's not like it was in the 80's/early 90's. Gonzo is where girls get noticed. As soon as they leave and go to Vivid, VCA, Digital Playground etc. it's almost like they fall off the face of the earth, why? Because gonzo fans don't watch those companies movies, basically they suck. Remember when Taylor Rain went to Legend? lasted about a month or two, it's almost like she disappeared. As soon as she started doing gonzo again, people were talking about her...again. Nobody really talks about any companies movies unless their Evil Angel, PXP, RLD, Anablic, Diabolic, Devils Films, Elegant Angel, Digital Sin etc. It used to be that companies that were feature driven like the Vivids of the world made and broke great porn stars, now it's the totally opposite, it's the gonzo companies with no storyline in their movies that make new girls into stars. Then they sign a contract with a company that makes "features' and the girl fades away into obscurity. The future is this: girls that are smart will sign a deal to make their own movies with studios just like Jenna did with Vivid and just like Bella Donna did with Evil Angel. Sign a distribution contract with a company, make you own movies. Every one of your flicks will be an event, about 6 movies a year would do nicely. Just look at what Jenna has done. She shoots her own movies and has Vivid distribute them, therefore she has the power and promotion of a big company behind her, but she isn't shackled by all their bullshit rules and policies (creative control, condoms etc.) that usually come with a contract.

I cannot agree with the majority opinion and say that jenna is doing it the right way. yes, you have thousands of people who order the pre-release of her next movie, and lock themselves away for days on end until it's finished. but there are some movies she's made two or three years ago and people are waiting for. there is a point where holding your breath for something makes people pass out from anticipation.
