Also be careful about whether you want downloads as most of these sites charge extra for them now. Don't get sucked in by a low price only to find that you need to upgrade for downloads. I don't mind paying extra for downloads but I like to know the deal going in. If all you want to do is stream then you can disregard this comment.

Finally, I agree that trials can be the way to go to start, but be careful with those too. Most are limited. I signed up for a trial recently that gave me nothing. I couldn't stream videos even. I essentially paid for a low-grade tour. Also, be mindful who the biller is. I have no problem signing up for a trial if I know and trust the biller and know I can cancel the trial quickly and easily. But I think the sites you mention have their own billers so you may want to cancel early. Most sites (though I can't speak for the ones you are interested in) allow your membership to run for the entire billing period even if you cancel early but there are some that will cut you off. That's a risk you have to take. When I sign up for a trial membership I almost immediately go and cancel it to avoid the recurring fee. The recurring fee from a trial is often higher than a normal membership fee too, so keep that in mind. Finally, with trial memberships, if you forget to cancel on time and end up with a recurring charge it probably isn't worth your while to complain. It will be like talking to a wall. The deal you signed up for was for access to the site for X days that then rebills at $Y. Most companies will hold you to that.

Subscribing to porn sites is harder than it needs to be but there are a lot of reputable companies and sites too. If you're new to subscribing you'll end up being burned a few times, but those should be rare.
