I notice that in some European stores Evil Angel and Red Light District titles have a 'Night Trips' or 'Shiva' logo on them.

Erodvd has whole studio sections dedicated to 'Night Trips' and 'Shiva' DVDs which are mainly made up of 'RLD' and 'Evil Angel' titles.

So who are they?
Are they the Euro distributors for Evil Angel and RLD? Do they manufacture PAL versions of these titles for Europe? Is that how they manage to have their logo on the artwork and the discs themselves?

They are the same company really. They are Dutch distributors of not only Evil Angel and RLD, but also some select other companies. They used to carry some Extreme Associates and Elegant Angel titles as well, and they still have some British titles.

Their discs are PAL and come with their own authoring. Picture quality is usually top notch, but they lack severly in the extras department. Tricia has posted that since the beginning of the year, Evil Angel titles should be the same as the American originals for all European distributors of EA stuff. I don't know if this is also true for Night Trips/Shiva.

And they usually do release Euro versions when they are available. Some Rocco titles come to mind, where the pissing and fisting is not deleted.

They have a website of their own. I can't remember the url though.

I have to disagree in the strongest terms possible. I have been caught out 4 times with Night Trips including buying a DVD from another ADT'er on this label and the picture quality is appalling - they should not be allowed to sell these discs - most recent tile was RLD's Straigh to the A#1 and the colours are so washed out - zero colour saturation.

**** Do Not Buy anything on this label***

If it had been a one off or even two maybe I could be open minded but I have had 4 titles on this label and they are not worth a dime - don't get caugh out

Stefan, if they're that bad, it would probably be helpful if you name the other discs in question so readers can avoid them. Cheers.

I bought the Night Trips DVD 'Lord Muck Fantasy Manor' (bad name i know.....but it wasn't for me...honest!)

The picture quality was fine. Shame the film was a bit crap.

I have no problem with the quality but the fact that they remove the extras is reason for me not to buy their movies, I would rather buy them directly from the US.

I have always considered Shiva and Night Trips to be one of the best distributors in Europe when it comes to the technical quality of the movies on both VHS and DVD.
The good thing about Shiva is that they get the original uncensored Rocco movies directly from Rocco Siffredi productions. The direct connection to Rocco Siffredi productions also means that Shiva versions of Rocco movies actually have better visual quality than the Evil Angel versions.

Actually they didn't release the orignal version of Dirty Anal Kelly in Rome 2 on VHS. They released the Evil Angel version which means all the pissing was removed :-(

I have a few Night Trips and Shiva titels (about 12) and the quality is very good (as good as the originals). Like Ramsey said it's a shame that the extra's are not present on the dvds.
On the flipside, the dvds cost about 20 euro (18 USD's??) and that's alot cheaper than the originals (30 euro).
