| misspornUSA Senior Member I ♥ the male gaze (and Palestine). 8737 Posts 11/13 |  Posted - Nov 27 2014 : 10:14AMA couple weeks ago I was informed that a pornstar who shall remain unamed made offensive, irrational statements about a serious social issue, statements which she herself is said to not actually believe, for the sole purpose of increasing her asking price for a future scene or scenes. She made a comment recently that continues this same pattern of dishonesty while adding some hypocrisy to the mix and insulting the intelligence of her fans. While what I described is merely the most recent example, it is well known by fans that many pornstars lie and do so regularly (which isn't to imply that they do so in their private lives as well). Long time fans have learned to take this for granted, but I wonder, who are the pornstars who don't lie or lie the least? Who in your opinion are the most honest pornstars? Dana Dearmond, for example, has never struck me as one to bs. Any others that you can name?  [Link] |

I think you need to assume that each and every porn-star is honest, good, and best in everything, unless you find some evidence to the contrary. It does not follow that I will therefore believe every orgasm I see in a porn scene is real unless someone proves otherwise. A pornstar may fake an orgasm for the sake of the scene. This does not make them any less "good" of course, but the same way that pornstar pretends to have an orgasm to make a scene better she may pretend her way through an interview to not harm her career. I wonder if that really is such a horrible observation. Am I really calling into question the personhood of pornstars as you've implied? [Link] |
