Im curious to know who designs the box covers for all of the dvd's we know and love?

I recently saw one that had a comic book theme to it, and i think this, along with other recent releases has really raised the bar on box cover designs.

My hope is to one day get involved with this part of the business. Can anyone with some experience fill me on how this process of cover design works?

I think this is a topic that hasnt been addressed on the board before.
Apologies in advance if this kind of query is considered solicitation.

Different people work and design for different companies.
It's called art director or something like that.
It's not just one person.

His name is Legion & he works at the bottom of a long, dark shaft that stinks of sulfur that's hidden in a secret location, behind the third office mall from the left on Plummer west of DeSoto. In a super-secret ceremony every fortnight, whatever under-21 actress who did not do anal within her first four scenes is sacrificed to keep Him sated, tossed by Max & Khan to the inky depths of His well, after they've taken turns writing "teen fuckhole" & "See, Sally Smith, this is what happens to a guy's ego when you laugh at him for asking you to the sophomore cotillion 30 years ago!" in alternating shades of lipstick.

Thus the Beast remains sated & the requisite 463 new covers (including comps) the industry requires per week are spit up from the hellish bowels of the earth.

Hey, it's easier than paying real-world professional graphic designer rates.
