I think it was approximately a year and a half ago that a gentleman calling himself August Arkham (not his real name) applied for a job at Extreme Associates. This was back in the glory days of Extreme Associates. Most people familiar with August forget his name, and just remember him as "that nerdy-looking guy with the glasses."
Anyway, August had recently graduated from Dartmouth College at the time he applied for a job at E.A. When he did apply, he applied in a very unusual way. He wrote a long, but very literate and fascinating letter to Tom Byron (this letter at one time was posted on one of E.A.'s websites). Rather than send the letter through the mail, August had it delivered by either Fed Ex or UPS (can't remember which). Because the letter arrived in such an unusual way, Tom Byron was intrigued enough to actually sit down and begin reading it (something he almost certainly would never have done had the letter arrived in the mail). Tom couldn't stop reading the letter until he finished it, and was so impressed, that he passed it around for other people at E.A. to read, and they were equally impressed.
In the letter, which was informed by keen intelligence and superb writing skills, August confessed that he was a virgin totally obsessed with and consumed by pornography. He conveyed the idea that, unless he could make a living in porn, he was essentially useless and serving no purpose in life.
In the letter, August also demonstrated that he was very familiar with the work of E.A.'s current stable of directors, but boasted that he had bold, novel ideas that would take E.A. to a whole 'nother level. He admitted that he had never worked in the porn industry before and had no skills, but he vowed that he would be a quick study and would soon become one of E.A.'s best directors.
Tom Byron and Rob Black decided to fly August to California for an interview (I think August used to live somewhere in the South, not sure). August did get hired by E.A., soon lost his virginity, and after a very short while, began starring in and directing his own movies for E.A. Frankly, Walter, I don't recall the names of any of them, but I guess that can be easily determined with a quick visit to E.A.'s website.
Several months ago, August Arkham made the decision to leave Extreme Associates. Once he left, he stopped going by the name August Arkham and started calling himself Brad Sisken (no idea if that's his real name or not). But he does go by that name publicly. I seem to vaguely remember that he recently got hired on by another studio as a director, but I could be mistakened about that.
Brad currently shares some of the writing duties at a website called www.jewishcheerleaders.com. That's an odd name, but the website is focused mostly on porn.
As I said, Walter, I am a little vague on some of the facts, but that's the gist of the Brad Sisken/August Arkham story.
