In the mid-1990s American porn reviews would include all the details about US productions, but with movies from Private, which had just entered the video market at the time, the performers would routinely be referred to as 'a bunch of Euro girls and guys' even though more accurate info was available. Annette Schwarz is another good example, everybody is raving about her now but she's been around for 4 years and nobody in America (or Britain) noticed.
