I just saw my first porn in Blu-Ray. I rented Deeper 10 from Excalibur. It has two of my favorites stars, Shay Jordan and Lacie Heart. I heard how awesome Blu-Ray was but it's better than I imagined. Has anyone experienced porn in Blu-Ray? If so which movie?
John- When you say HD are you using a dvd that upconverts dvd to a 1080i signal? Or you talking about the now defunk HD DVD? Or you talking about normal dvd that is shot in HD?
I just have a normal, non HD DVD player but my friend has an HD TV and just bought a blu-ray player. I watched a movie at his place on blu-ray the other day and couldn't tell any difference in picture quality between it and his old (defunct) HD player.
No, you'd have to buy an HD TV as well as a Blu-Ray player to "experience" the full effect. Since so few good films are yet available in blu-ray, I'd say stick with your current DVD setup until more good stuff comes out on Blu-Ray (and prices go down). That is, unless 75% of your movie viewing consists of Hollywood movies made in the last 3 years as that makes up most of what's currently on Blu-Ray.
Blu-ray will not play on a standard DVD player, you need a Blu-ray player, however a regular DVD will play on a Blu-ray player. Basically Blu-ray is one of the two high capacity formats that were created to come after DVD. The other is the now defunct HD-DVD format. The intention was to be able to deliver high definition movies and television shows to the home on an easy portable disc.
I love the few Blu Ray porn films I have. I picked up "Pirates" and "Operation Desert Stormy". Stormy Daniels in HD? Oh yeah that is some amazing stuff!!:) For more Stormy on Blu Ray pick up "Superbad" as she is included in a hilarious easter egg scene. HD DVD and Blu Ray should be comparable in quality so long as the HDTV is the same. Of course a 1080p TV display will look better than a 720p display because it is a better quality display. Still, I hope the prices go down to a more reasonable price soon. $50.00 for a Blu Ray movie is steep and I only spend that kind of money on confirmed quality productions. Stormy Daniels' movies never cease to amaze me and are always quality movies and the new Pirates II will be a sure purchase on Blu Ray as well. So far, I haven't been disappointed in the video quality of the Blu Ray adult films I own.
Flash- You're right. The post kind of turned into a technical post. I'm awaiting Meggan and Hanna Loves Manuel on Blu-Ray. I have seen it on regular dvd. I'll post back to tell everybody if there is a difference.

By the way, I just purchased Digital Playground's "Babysitters" on Blu Ray, but have yet to take a look at it....I've heard good things though! I saw that one. It's pretty good. Shay Jordan looks great. The bad news is that Jesse Jane does not look good in Blu-Ray. The implants are bizarre looking.
Regarding the "Babysitters" Blu RayI'm sorry to hear that. Jesse Jane is among my favorites, what a shame. However, I've seen my all-time favorite Stormy Daniels in Blu Ray and she was phenominal as always!!
I finally got my Blu-Ray edition of Meggan and Hanna Loves Manuel. The difference between watching it on dvd and Blu-Ray is unbelievable. The sex scene between Hanna and Manuel seems like you are right next to them watching them have sex.
