^ I guess the rationale is that all these people - who were out of the industry waaaay before the lockdown - are now miraculously out of a job and when the lockdown ends, obviously they will turn to porn to make money. because, you know, there's millions to be made. Especially if everyone has the same idea. It's not that prior to the lockdown, rates for actors were already low, partially because they are a dime a dozen (the other reason being that the gold rush times from 2000-2010 are over - for a decade now)
I would be more inclined to assume some of the announced comebacks - which were put on hold - will not happen at all when things return to normal.
We'll see what happens. Contracts get broken all the time, by companies and performers. Happened We'll see how much of the 6 months Brazzers deal with Lana Rhoades we'll be seeing in the upcoming time. Also - I hope I'm wrong here - I wouldn't bet large sums of money on a fully-fledged Remy return.
This is my personal opinion: The big players (i.e. those backed by the big tube sites and the odd non-tube-packed) companies will weather the situation better than some of the smaller studios. The outcome will be that another concentration will happen (fewer studios), which might drive down rates for performers even more. Who in turn might then turn themselves even more to onlyfans etc. Though I don't know how many of them can make a decent living out of that only - if there isn't some big studio release to boost their image. Lena Paul put it into one of here lengthy advisory twitter threads for the aspiring talent: 1) shot and own your own content and make money of that 2) shot the odd scene for studios to keep your profile up. I'm not denying some of the models may make a huge earning on onlyfans/pornhub etc, but I guarantee you for every performer that does, there are 100 other performers who will not be able to make a living of the meager rates they get.
Agreed but I think it depends upon your attitude, what you expect from life. 1.if your happy with decent earning (and in some cases running a side business) then you can follow Lena Paul's path 2.if your ambitious then you would shoot regularly for studios and also for sites like onlyfans in free time (as it is convenient) one may wanted to earn in six figures. Also if some of you guys have actually suscribed to onlyfans of any performer, How was/is your experience as a customer? From customers POV I feel it's little bit unfavorable studios can provide variety of girls. also there is a very little difference between subscription amount of some girls and smallers studios.. So I would save my money for a studio but onlyfans... Shouls I try onlyfans ? Is it preferable
I think there is a great possibility that some pornstars who have there own studios to shoot content will face the impact as daily cost is rising. Also the plan of Reagan Foxx of introducing her own studio (if it still had to came) will be pushed forward.. So you can expect those girls like dee siren, Francesca le, etc.
