I was supprised how fast RLD was growing lateley. Mainly i think it has to do with the licensing of their products at adultlegal. Now I've heard that RLD has stopped their licensing. Was this a smart move or is this really something that was wrong to do? I bet RLD would NEVER has been so big as they are now without all those adultsites online. Anyway, It was fun to download from adultsites their product to see if it was worth to order their DVD, however since they've stopped licensing I'm affraid that their sales will slowly die. So this could be a good chance for other company's to take over the net/business? Like Zero Tolerance for example. Once i saw if a movie was good enough I've always bought the DVD from adultdvdempire. Anyway now no more new RLD so no more RLD DVD's to buy ofcourse. What do you guys think of all this? I hope Zero Tolerance will come out in the next couple year as the best on the net, from there their sales will rise up that's for sure..
Greetings, To be honest with you, if the box is stamped Red Light District, I will buy it. To me, it has passed the highest quality standards, and I know that I will get an excellent product. From the picture quality, to the extras, to the girls and directors..it is all top notch. As for Zero Tolerance...it is my belief they will never be a leader in the industry, especially if Mike Quasar continues to use that videocam that gives the video a "film" look to it (it has been talked about before on this board). When Zero Tolerance started, they put at the begining of each video alot of promises...and in just a year, they broke almost every one of them....we have seen alot of women with tatoos...a couple of women with bad boob jobs...poor quality video (that "film" look) and even a "fantasy" movie.Pehaps Zero Tolerance should change their name to Zero Credability.
I'm not sure what adultsites have to do with DVD sales. They certainly have almost no influence over my purchases. As far as RLD goes, I look at their own site for info and boxcovers but I make my decisions based on who directs and who is cast. Suggesting that RLD is going to :"slowly die" because they aren't licensing web content for people to download is preposterous. The only way they would "slowly die" is if they started cranking out shitty product, which doesn't seem likely anytime soon since they have some of the best directors in the industry.
Well I didn't started this topic about the flaws of Zero Tolerance. I was more talking about the business plans and the best strategy for company's for in the future to take the business over from RLD. As for Zero Tolerance they could have some flaws, however If We start about flaws, why don't you mention that most of the RLD movies are cheap Eastern European girls? I bet I could make a few movies in no time like RLD in Eastern Europe, especially Hungary since that's my Native Language. You probably have no clue how cheap it is to get some girls working there. For example, an average income in one month in Hungary is between 60 and 80 thousand Forint ( +- 300 to 350 USD. ) Go there make some contacts and you'll get those girls in front of the camera for about 600 USD, maybe 700, damn maybe even for less then that? They are really Cheap, they are all looking the same and so on.Just go to Budapest, take a cab, ask where you can find some whores and talk to their pimp.I'd rather see some real class girls from Western Europe or the US. However this is still not the issue I'm talking about. I'm talking about the Strategy and what could be the best option for new porn company's or the ones that where they could show us some competition and how?
First of all, perhaps it was a bit of a lofty goal to express Zero Tolerance for things like tattoos and boob jobs. Unfortunately we soon discovered that just about every single girl in the business has some sort of tribal sign/gang initiation ink on their body somewhere. So what do you do? Shoot two movies a year? No, you try to make the best with what you've got. With few exceptions we've managed to achieve a fairly consistent high quality of talent. As far as Boob Jobs; Yes, we have a series called Double Decker Sandwich which features 12 girls in each volume. It's very difficult to find girls with tremendously large breasts who are not surgically enhanced. All I can tell you is that we try as often as is humanly possible to avoid them.
Our recent trip to Prague was an attempt to shoot girls closer in caliber to our original mission statement and most of them were absolute tens but guess what? some of them had tattoos as well.Upcoming trips will take us back to Prague and to Brazil in search of naturally attractive girls who are free of most of the defects that many of the San Fernando Valley crop seem to possess so often.
As far as "the poor picture quality" of my "film-look video"; if you don't like it, buy something else. We release 4 titles a month. Only two feature "film look". You have options. If you want movies that are exactly like Red Light District, I suggest you buy more Red Light district movies. I personally like the "poor picture quality" of my "film-look video". P.S. When you go to the movie theatre do you get pissed off at the "film look" up on the screen? Would Master and Commander have looked better if it had been shot on a Sony camcorder with all controls set to "Automatic"? Just curious.
Ohw shit before I forget, Zero Tolerance made a movie called Grand Theft Anal. You should watch that movie cause THAT one rules defenatly, fuck i loved that talk in the beginning with Hannah Harper!. I don't want to see Master and Commander shot on a handicam, or any other videocamera; whether it's set to 30i, 30p, or 24p with onboard 3:2 pulldown. Hardcore eastern European gonzo shot on video at 30p might be a nice change of pace. With 10,000 titles a year heaven forbid everything get shot at 30i!
I like the "filmic" look. Personally speaking. A lot of digital video porn looks sharp and glaring. Gimme some mood, people! The only thing that will kill RLD, unless the amazing run of young female nymphos suddenly goes dry, is the resolute sameness of their movies: They need to mix it up a lot more. It's very apparent Zero Tolerance has always tried to bring fresh new talent to the screen. When it comes to delivering the goods, ZT is second to no one (right up there with DVSX). I can't tell you how many titles of both studies I've watched and thought to myself ~ wow, is this girl ever hot, how come I've never seen her before? ~ There's nothing worse then seeing the same performers, like Sandra Romain, Angel Long, etc, being recycled over and over again. ...Or perhaps I just watch too much porn?

check www.jadedvideo.com they have pretty big covers you can take a look at.I prefer jadedvideo to get a look for covers but order them from adultdvdempire since they deliver faster.

You're right Walter. To put this thread back on track and to answer the question as to who will take over the business; judging by recent aquisistions I'd have to say that Hustler will one day own pornography.
Well personaly I hope PXP in a year from now is on top of the porn world. We have ironed out our flaws and try to give the viewers a wide range of product and directors to choose from not just the same thing over and over. I think with a team made up of myself,Brandon Iron,Mason,Steve Holmes,Julian,Sean Michaels and Michael Stefano we will have the most exciting porn on the market. You can see and feel the diffrence between each of us as directors which makes it all unique but we keep our sex top notch and hardcore they way it should be. And I don't think a company made up of this calibur of talent is going to happen for a long time down the road. Not to sound cocky but we really have a great team that others cannot compete with and our numbers I know for a fact we are putting out what others could only wish for a new company.

I think Digital Sin/New Sensations is putting out some great product right now.
