For those who don't know about them, they are essentially a place for newbies, wannabees and amateurs trying to turn pro. Almost all of the women on there take their own pictures or have their boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands or whomever take the pics and post them. IMHO Southern Charms is a serious ripoff for the girls. The company demands a ridiculous amount of weekly "updates" and they have so many different women on their various "Tiers" that I don't know how any of the women ever get noticed. Plus, the payouts to the women are terrible. Yes, the background in this pic isn't exactly exciting, but SC doesn't bother to try and educate the girls about what's good & what isn't, they are all about quantity over quality. The girls on there have to shoot thousands of stills to get any real amount of payback. I know several ladies who are on there, and I know they work like hell to keep their sections updated, but in the end, I don't think it's worth it for them, or any woman to be on there. But with a lack of quality releases in the genre, it's increasingly evident that I dont have to boycott anything, there's just no quality product there to buy. The last BBW series I thought had any quality at all was Waist Watchers. But even in that series there was too much focus on soft, generic porn, I mainly liked it because it was well shot and the girls were smokin' hot, but the sex itself was generally tepid one girl one guy; tease --> blowjob --> fucking --> dodged cumshot with little to no variation and no raunchiness. Click to expand Agreed - but obviously they dont see the benefit in expending the effort required. I have been buying BBW DVDs for almost 10 years and have seen no significant advancements. The ones today still suffer from the same issues as the ones I bought 10 years ago. I thnk one of the problems with BBW porn is that the genre is too encompassing. In mainstream porn - you can choose whether you want to watch teens, milfs, mature, pregnant, big boobs, small boobs, anal, squirting etc. With BBW - it seems that the producers think its only the fact that the performers are fat that attracts you too them - and so seem to throw any girl who fits that description into their videos. Most BBW vids are therefore a gamble - you never know quite what you are going to get unless you really do your homework. With many mainstream porn titles - the girls are on the whole quite attractive in terms of looks. With BBW porn - I find its a lot more variable. Admittedly - some people are attracted to larger girls, just because they are larger and looks are less important. I'm kinda the other way. I'm turned on by attractive girls - regardless of their size, but by the same token, a woman could have the most amazing body in the world, but if she wasnt attractive to me - I would just switch off. Click to expand That way of thinking is already confirmed, according to Mindee, who said (in this thread) she has spoken with various porn producers on the subject. I admit to settling for bad porn because of falling for a particular BBW and wanting to collect whatever scenes are available of her. CJWright does some good high-energy BBW porn and uses many creative sex positions; not sure if he pre-screens them before shooting, or if he just has a special talent for getting the girls to bring their "A" game to the set. Whenever I get the chance to tell someone face to face I do. Somebody once asked me how I wound up talking to all these various porn people since I am merely a "Z" list performer. I ask them. I just go up to them and talk to them. If I can find an email address, I contact them. Essentially I'm not afraid of them. If they don't live in LA it reduces their chances of being able to knock on the right doors and get things going. A lot of the BBW girls that I know, tend to live in the midwest & south. So it becomes hard for producers to get women who will work regularly and who don't have the mile long "I Don't Do This" list. For me, I don't make a living at it, and I'm to the point that I am only shooting what I want to shoot. There is one producer that I do a fair amount of work for in the NYC area, which is all private/custom video work. Very easy and cool. But as far as video consumer porn goes, right now, I'm not finding a lot of opportunity for the so-called "Circus Acts" in BBW porn, which is what I really want to do. If I get a chance to do more of that sort of thing I will be on it like paint on a wall. And.. I hope if I get that opportunity, you'll buy it! But don't boycott BBW porn. It's not the answer. Click to expand Perhaps - but neither does wasting money on poor quality dvds. All that tells the producers is that we'll put up with the rubbish they put out. Maybe boycott is too strong a word though. Perhaps "being more selective" better describes my current stance. I have looked around and havent seen any recent BBW dvds that would make me think they were worth taking a risk on. Every single one of the older ones I own has major flaws - and I cant see that anything has changed for the better. What I have noticed is that the BBW niche has definately grown - there are far more dvds and for more regular releases in this genre than 5 years ago. Perhaps things will look up eventually. [Link]
