At least keep it for VR, I don't use it anyway. But when it comes to regular scenes, why do they feel the need to make it that way more and more often lately? I mean, watching porn videos is inherently a convention, I KNOW I'm not the one fucking the girl, don't sell that fantasy to me, because I'm at peace with that. I just want to see a naked body as a whole, a beautiful girl getting fucked by others on all possible angles, as a cinematic experience. Of course, I know there are different tastes, and people who actually prefer POV, but are they really a majority? Did anyone make a survey or something? Did anyone measure the public's preference and found out that POV is wanted more? Do the statistics say that POV videos are watched more? If that's the case, I would be very disappointed. I used to like Naughty America scenes, because they filmed them exactly how I wanted. great backgrounds, angles and lighting, all. But lately they use POV more and more. Plus all the other companies, too. The problem with POV is that it distorts the image. It's nothing like having the girl in front of me. It's distracting and annoying.  [Link] |

Once indoors, in a hotel room, the scenes can become monotonous, distorted, many of the things you mentioned. Titles usually scream that they are POV so you can easily steer clear of them. But not *all* POV is crap. It depends on the frame. There are good POV blow job scenes for example where the focus is the woman's face. Or think of lesbian fisting scenes, say, which can be POV (or essentially POV) and can be well executed. I agree POV is cheap, which is one reason. Another reason is just a poor understanding of audience. Companies do make surveys and oftentimes they are designed like crap and come to the wrong conclusions. The opening scene works best---Manuel arrives at Lou Charmelle's apartment, captures wonderful shots of Lou sleeping then action shifts to a wonderful morning blowjob in POV. The duo hit the streets for breakfast then return for a solid POV encounter with Manuel mixing wider POV shots and tighter POV shots. A terrific 55 minute scene. He gets sloppier in the next scene with Liza Del Sierra that's way too long at 85 minutes. Give Manuel credit for trying to mix the wider shots that help keep these scenes from being so claustrophobic. However, that wider shot must also be an interesting shot and sometimes he misses there. Anyway, that first disc of the two disc set shows what's good and what's bad about POV and I can honestly say that I reviewed few POV discs after that---tb [Link] |
