not sure what you mean , but there are far less companies still making DVDs out there , most of which are Webcompanies issuing scenes they already sold through their sites , which mieans there actually a lot fewer scenes made because they sell the same material, on top of that now there are 4 scenes per DVD instead of 5 like it was before , so even without any other consideration this means 20% less of scenes made.
Add another thing where once you had to buy multiple memberships to watch a star you wanted so that every site wanted at least a couple scenes with her , tobay your membership may give you access to a dozen stes or more , so they don't need to shoot more than 2 or 3 scenes per actress unless she's high in demand or does something new she never did before.
So all in all there are a lot less opportunities to shoot for a new actress , if she doesn't hit the market real fast she'll be done in a few weeks , nobody is going to hire her or, at least, she's requested not very often.
