When not being face to face with the male, most pornstars just close their eyes when getting fucked. Does nobody tell them to make eye contact with the cam?
I thought of this the other day . Something so simple ,yet,,,,. I rewatch ed an old favorite , Lily Rader with Christian Clay ,Step-Dad Punished Young Teen Daughter from Vixen . After Lily is spanked , she good down on her knees and appreciativly blow him , and constant eye contact . It just makes the scene and really sets the tone . I equate it to filming anal and not being able to see the woman's face upon penetration.
Is it a given that there should be eye contact with the camera when possible, regardless of the genre of porn or have you only just realised that not all "off the shelf" porn is required to suit your needs?
When a performer looks directly at the camera, it breaks the fourth wall and can take you out of the scene. I prefer performers to look at each other, rather than at me. If a performer has their eyes closed, they might be performing and/or experiencing pleasure.
It usually ruins the scene if the performer looks at the camera or at someone behind it in scenario driven vignettes/movies but sites like exploited College Girls, Casting HD and Net Video Girls do that all the time and I think it's hot. I think the key for whether it's going to be a positive or a negative is what the producer was going for. I agree with BlackSix and Gore Gore Girl that if they are going for a one-on-one type of video where the performers are supposed to be into each other than anything that distracts from that will likely ruin the scene.
In scenes from certain casting sites, the camera is part of the scene, thus the fourth wall isn't really broken. The performer isn't looking at the audience, we merely have a view of the performer's face. Not to put too fine a point on it.
theyrAgreed, and agreed. Given my particular bent, of course, I like to see women in porn with their eyes closed, as I can more easily pretend that they are Hypnotized.
I guess to me... rather than eyes open or not, the whole of the body language is what I love to see in a good scene. The narrative of the body language... muscles tensing and releasing, hands that roam, sometimes involuntarily; how words and vocalizations interplay, moments of eye contact. Stuff like that.
If eyes are largely shut, but we have a dynamic and genuine performance, then great. But I'm down saying that I don't enjoy performers who just lay there, eyes shut (rarely see that anyway).

Don't know the real reason. There could also be multiple reasons for this, but I think the biggest reason is lack of either physical or emotional attraction to the partner. Having sex with a girlfriend is different from having sex when a transaction is involved.
