Why is that? When I clip my favorite moments, I often need to add saturation.

Do they decrease saturation on purpose? Or do they have cameras that give off this look? It looks so lifeless. Morgue style.

Real people don't look that pale and dead, so why should porn, the ultinate fantasy, do???

^Exactly, there's to many aspects without examples, or at least reference to a certain studio/studios.

Also we all have our computers and displays calibrated differently, that may be part of it in some cases. Some studios are clearly grading their videos to achieve a certain look, something that often look too processed and unnatural for my taste. For porn I just want it to look raw and natural, not like some mainstream comercial. But that's a matter of personal taste ofc.

Maybe it's just me but the kind of lighting tushy and LP/AV chooses are so significantly different that their final product are in no way similar. I find that both studios use of lighting makes their scenes often too bright but strangely for different reasons. In the case of Tushy it's their choice of shooting scenes where there is (in my opinion ) an over abundance of natural lighting and in the case of LP/AV. It's their choice of using bright artificial lighting and white furniture that make their videos overly bright. That said since LP/AV tend to have videos from multiple studios than I can't claim that the lighting is all the same because it is not.

^Thanks for the example. I would say that in that example. Brightness of the room and the color of the furniture have a lot to do with the overall saturation. Filters could likely fix the problem during production and/or video editing post production could do the same but this precludes that the people producing that porn know how to do that. I'm not so certain that they do and hiring someone to do it cost money. Sadly this is something most studios can't afford to spend money on. Especially when they still manage to sell their product to make a profit.

Maybe one of the reason why they choose to shoot their scenes like that is because this way they can more easily hide the performers skin imperfections where in a more saturated scene it would not be possible or worse significantly enhance those skin imperfections. For me razor burns/pimples near genitalia or the ass tend to be extremely distracting and in some cases will make the scene unwatchable.

That picture actually look like it was filmed in RAW or LOG format, and published without color correction, and color correction is a must for video filmed in these formats, that's the whole point in filming in RAW or LOG.In that case it's more of a mistake than by choice. I checked a couple of other videos on metartx.com, and none of them looked dull and grey like that.

In the case of Legalporno/Analvids the flat "white" look is obviously by choice, something that they have used for years. I guess all their main studios get their videos color graded in post production to get that uniform look. I don't like it at all, but it was even worse a couple of years back.
