Watch any porn video ever made in the last 20 years and they all look the same. The same set-up, positions, etc. Why do they keep making new porn videos when in theory the Internet's great backlog of porn holds up just as well? What are the economic and business reasons to keep producing porn? I can understand why studios make new movies and TV shows all the time. As time passes, there are shifting tastes to appeal to, new historical events to dramatize, new special effects technology to exploit, etc. A changing world brings new ideas. But porn is just fucking. How many different positions can two people assume? How many different shades of wallpaper can those bedrooms have? I think everything's been done by now. [Link] |

Are you going to say that Mike Adriano's content looks the same as Burning Angel's scenes? Even when you have the same studio shooting scenes on the same set, you will have a different look with your cast unless you stick to a cookie cutter auditioning process. The chemistry between performers can and often does differ considerably too so the look and feel from one scene to the next certainly doesn't look the same. What are the economic and business reasons to keep producing porn? Paying for your house, car, family, treating yourself, paying off investors or creditors, like most business owners. Porn is not "just fucking". Porn is also about sexual gratification for the end user and you're demonstrating a very narrow mindset assuming that there are only two people performing. It can be one to more than 10 people in a porn scene. A bedroom isn't the only scene where porn is shot and who says wallpaper is the only decor in a bedroom? If porn looks the same to you, that says more about you, your limited viewing habits and/or your apparent disillusionment with porn than about the industry itself. I've watched porn for a very long time and there's always someone and something new to watch in my case and it certainly does not look all the same. [Link] |
