In the case I'm thinking about it's with Jasmine Lynn. I loved this girl and she appeared in a ton of flicks. But, then she just fell off the face of the earth. She did some of the nastiest stuff you can think of so I highly doubt that she or some of the other girls in the industy have some great awakening where they find a higher power. This trend seems to happen quite often in the industry that you find a girl you really like and she dissapears. I just wonder what the possible scenerios are that they are able to pick up and leave so quickly without being heard from again. It's just damn near impossible on alot of these girls to find out what they ever did with their lives.

I worked with Jasmine Lynn a few times. She was a very nice girl. We had a couple of intimate conversations and this topic actually did come up. She was being a smart business women with her money. Here's a silly question. Assuming that mackey is a second year student, how can one be a summa cum laude, which is a mark of distinction at graduation, if they're barely halfway through their studies?
I think it's fair to ASSUME that people in this industry are often in an environment and surrounded by people they don't exactly like. Even if the money is OK and they don't really mind what they're doing. Porn seems to me to be one of the biggest "melting pot" industries you can imagine. There are people of all kinds doing it for all kinds of different reasons. I would imagine that it isn't exactly the kind of thing you want to do forever.

It would be interesting to hear what some women in the industry say why they joined porn and why they left porn and why they came back. I am more interested in what made someone want to get into the industry. The usual comment will be "Because they like to fuck" Who doesn't? Even those who can't get it up want to fuck at least LOL

Jennarulez you didnt mention the biggest reason majority of chicks get into porn: FAST MONEY, MINIMAL WORK A chick can make more money in porn in ONE month than she can in a WHOLE YEAR of some typical minimum wage customer service job. And she does not have to endure the grind of a 40-50 hour work week to do it. Girls who are not even old enough to drink are suddenly able to make thousands of dollars very quickly. That can be extremely tempting. Now as for why girls leave, the biggest reason is they get into a real relationship and their significant other is not cool with them performing anymore. There is also plain old growing up and moving on. A lot of young people (like 18-24 year old porn chicks) don't really know themselves, don't really know what they want to do with their lives. The porn industry loses its glamour over time (sometimes a short time), and they want to try something else, they want to be something else
Now as for why Jasmine Lynn left, if you do a search on this board you will find the thread that says she left because she got pregnant and wanted to be a normal mom. There is a pic of her when she was pregnant and out of the industry, and she looks NOTHING like she did as a performer. She looks like any other mom you might see shopping for groceries or taking her kids to Wal Mart. Jasmine Lynn is on my all time top 10 list. She was fucking awesome. So submissive yet so energetic That said, not curious at all about how or what she is doing now. She did so many scenes, tons and tons to enjoy, more than enough

Actually I figured it was the money as well. And you definitely make sense. Sad thing is, alot of times women get a stigma for working as a porn star when they leave the industry. And I wonder how many times they end up working a job long after and some guy who works with them finds some movies of hers and then she gets harrassed. But ya I agree for sure, money would be the number 1 reason to get in.
