( The scenes he did with dana dearmond and Poppy morgan probably has the some of the best gapes I've ever seen.) He seems to have a grasp on what butt fanatics like. I don't think it's that people don't like his scenes, as he does shoot some hot action, but that they think his character is lacking even by porn standards. He had a reputation for treating women too rough in sex scenes. In some interviews he said he didn't like the stuck up attitudes that some of the women had back them (during the 90s) especially the contract girls. When he started producing his own movies he preferred to use black women and treated them a lot better and they seemed to like working for him. With Pumper it seems like the women and the men don't like him. I remember seeing BTS for one of the Throat Injection movies and Nat Turnher and some other guys were making fun of him and how he was stuck on himself and trying to rap. In another popular clip Nat Turnher is talking to Annette Schwarz and they are making fun of Brian Pumper. I saw an interview with a black female performer and they asked her why so many people dislike Pumper. She said initially lot of girls want to work with him because he is good looking and has a nice body. Then they perform with him and he treats them so badly and is not nice to them so they really become turned off by him after that. I saw another BTS for some movie he did with Gina Lynn. Gina Lynn was fawning all over him talking about how great he looked and so on. The whole time Pumper was like kinda mean to her and rolling his eyes. I could see what the black perfomer was taking about there. He comes off as kind of a narcissist. [Link] |

For me, my biggest problem with Pumper is the ass sniffing. Ass sniffing in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing; it's not my fetish, but if, during a hot anal scene, a dude wants to take a sec and sniff some booty, I can't blame him. So it's not a problem in 1-on-1 scenes (unless he sniffs for too long I guess). But when there are other dudes in the scene trying to fuck the girl, and Pumper is literally shoving them out of the way so he can spend a bunch of time sniffing ass, that's when it goes beyond fetish and becomes counter-productive to the scene being shot. There are numerous posts over the years testifying to the stupidity that is Brian Pumper. Some of them mine.) If it was just me, that would be one thing. Just one schlub that wasn't a fan of a particular performer. But there are legions of folks, fans AND industry insiders, including performers, who have voiced their thoughts on Pumper's loserness. To be brief: Many of the girls don't like him. The Brazilian girls laughed at him during Evasive Angles' heydays of making runs down there five or six years ago. Some very big name white American girls, (Kelly Divine, Kristina Rose, Dana DeArmond, Annette Schwarz, yeah I know she's German, but I'm referencing American porn productions), and some other lessor known girls, are on record talking about what a creep he is. A number of the black porn girls hate him. There are a couple of famous youtube videos that speak to this. Many of the black male performers clown him and call him out for being a loser. Often to his face. You can see this in a number of outtakes and BTSs. You don't often see this in porn, unless it's two specific performers having a personal beef with each other. But when this many people in your profession feel this way about you, there's got to be something to it. On a bigger issue, as a porn producer he HAS endangered people's health by playing fast and loose with medical administration. Evil Angel kicked him out of their production stable after this serious transgression. Finally, from a fan perspective, as a performer he is just weak. (My opinion.) He is a lame fuck, and above all, VERY annoying in his act. Whether it's the dumb ass sniffing, or the dumb jewelery, or the lame rapping, it's just dumb. He may be able to hit his marks, and he may look the part cuz he keeps in shape, which might explain why he kept getting work from other companies before he went out on his own, but in my view he is not that energetic or inspiring a woodsman, and the girls with him usually look like they can't wait to get their check. As a producer\performer he usually makes the scenes all about him, and the girl is just an accessory. Just do not care for him at all. And I ain't alone. It seems like the only people that really like him or his work are those who like his anal gaping series, and I think that may be because he spoke to a specific niche that those folks care about.
