JadaBlaze01 Member 301 Posts 1/11	Posted - Jun 25 2012 : 2:25PM Hey Guys I noticed that a lot of people in the Porn Industry dont really have nice things to say about the Porn Actress Marey Carey, I have heard people say bad things about her and she is not liked by a lot of people, Why is that? is it because she tried to run for Governor or California? I dont understand cause she has such a outgoing fun playful type personality and it shows in a lot of her Films she is really funny in her films so why do people put her down? The people who claim she wasn't more popular because she didn't do anal, IR or whatever are basically have the same thing to say about any girl who doesn't do those things. And yet porn has plenty of girls who don't do anal or IR and have had successful careers. Stormy and a few others blame her not being a bigger star on not being respectful enough or being an embarrassment but that's behind the scenes stuff that the average fan wouldn't know about so I doubt it would've affected their buying habits. Looking back on things now I think she would've been a bigger star if she was with a bigger studio and did more B/G scenes. When she was at her height of fame in the mainstream she didn't have that much product available to take advanatage of it. I don't know if KICKASS had the money and resources to exploit her better. My question was why she wasn't a bigger star. But this thread asks why she gets such a bad rap. I tend to think Mary gets a bad rap because she didn't play the pornstar game and do what was expected and act the way some people felt she should have. I don't think Mary was really that concerned with being a pornstar as much as having fun and making money. Doing CELEBRITY REHAB didn't help matters because I'll bet many in the porn biz felt she was casting a bad light on all pornstars. I wonder how the porn biz feels about Joslyn James. She another girl I thought would become a much bigger pornstar after the whole Tiger Woods scandal. But other than a few weak attempts from a few studios to cash in on the whole Tiger thing it doesn't seem like Joslyn's porn career was affected at all. [Link]

It's probably because she was getting so much more attention than most pornstars and wasn't acting the way they thought she should be acting and I have to think some of the girls were jealous of the attention she was getting. Sometimes when a pornstar gets a lot attention early in their career others don't feel they didn't pay their dues and don't deserve their "fame". [Link]
