Sent an e-mail to them almost a week ago, no answer.
I wanted to know why they have envelope Global Priority shipping to countries all over the world, yet they don't offer it to Canada. If they won't even answer a simple question in an e-mail, I'd hate to think what kind of hell I'd have to go through if there was actually a problem with one of my orders.
How do they get customers? or keep them for that matter.

M.B.,
I spoke with our Customer Service department, and they recall your inquiry. I'm not sure if you have a spam folder, but if so you may want to check it for their response.

To answer your question, though, we don't ship Global Priority to Canada because we are researching a more efficient solution for a cost effective shipping option to the Great White North.

I hope this helps.

I'm intrigued... when will you know more? Shipping costs and border hassles have prevented me from attempting many cross-border purchases.

oatmeal. You are true shipping costs are expensive at times but I did not experience any "border hassles" lately.
I had the same fear having had so many items confiscated in the 70's and 80's but now the only thing that seems to interest the customs is to collect the GSP. If you do business with a major dealer customs should not be a problem anymore.

the duty and customs fees on top of US dollars can be prohibitive. For me it really depends on how bad I want the product.

I have a junk folder which I check everyday, I did not get a reply from anyone at adultdvdempire.
I've ordered many titles from the US (sent to Canada) with no problems at all. The key is to send only the disc and artwork in a Global priority mailer/envelope. Other sites use this type of shipping and it's a reasonable shipping rate to pay (usually $5 or $6 for up to 4 discs).
What I don't understand is that adultdvdempire's shipping to places all over the world is cheaper than Canada, but we're right next door to the US. ADE offers Global Priority envelope shipping to countries halfway around the world but not to Canada. They expect people to pay $6 + $2.45 for every disc for shipping to Canada, pathetic.
But they can send up to 10 discs to Albania or god knows where else for $8.00, makes no sense.

Are you using an ADT mail account? We've had problems with them for the past few days. Some mail may have been returned as undeliverable.

Drew, I have been emailing the Kickback email for about a week or so with no response. Is there any chance that these issues are related?

It is possible. I haven't checked that email account for a couple of days due to all of the other fires. I'll go look right now.

M.B.,

You may need to specifically allow in your spam filters the domains (i.e. xrentdvd.com) of those adult companies that you want to receive email from. A few months back Hotmail decided to start dropping emails from certain domains skipping the spam folder. We get email from Hotmail users saying "Why haven't you responded?" as well. Unless they call our toll free 888-XRentDVD number, we have no way to let them know that Hotmail is dropping the responses.

Happy Holidays
