As a Brit we don't have any sort of access to 'Latina' women here and so they are always have an appeal to me which brings me to my question of why doesn't Mexico which has a ton of beautiful women across the boarder of the US have a established industry? Is it because of a religious reason?

Doubt it-America is deeply religious & has the biggest porn industry there is. It is likely due more to the unstable nature of the currency there-especially in recent years & they can make a lot more in the US. I expect Mexican porn does exist-but is probably a lot more amateur.
Mexico has an unstable government & corrupt law enforcement. You'll probably get killed if u piss off or dont pay off the right people. I'm sure US porn producers looked at Mexico but taking thousand of dollars worth of equipment & trying to set up shop isnt worth the risk of getting it all stolen. I'm sure the legality of bringing porn across the border is unclear and pretty sure if they film a girl that turns out to be underage they'll be sitting in a mexican prison for a very long time.
^Yeah I think you're right with the age point. Did a google after I posted and it seems that Mexico is now the biggest child porn exporter in the world so I can imagine that it would cause all types of problems when trying to id the performers.

^ LOL, same here. However, I've sometimes wondered why there isn't more Brazilian porn being made...I'd love to see one of the big American porn studios, such as Jules Jordan or Evil Angel, go down there and shoot a couple movies with hot Brazilian babes, like Red Light District Video a decade ago when they made "Shot in Brazil" titles like International Exotics and World Class Ass.
I think religion is why you don't see more Middle Eastern women doing porn but the religion thing doesn't stop India and other middle eastern countries from having a large prostitution market, not to mention underaged girls being prostituted. But I think the reason there is not porn production done there is a LOT simpler than people think. Lot of these countries just don't have a large enough domestic market to justify producing porn domestically in their own countries. Mexico, India, and China are really poor countries. How many people there even have TVs and DVD player? China probably has a large enough domestic market for porn. Why not import women to produce porn elsewhere like in the U.S.? Because its too hard to get them in and its not worth the trouble or potential of getting arrested for trafficking women. If you want latin women you can goto NYC, Miami, or LA and find enough to shoot porn. Likewise with asian women. On the other hand American producers have gone to other countries to shoot more ethnic women (e.g. Thailand, Brazil) but there is a limited market for that so you have to justify the cost. At one point lot of U.S. guys were shooting in Brazil but that has tapered off because of the economy and possibly because of a crackdown in Brazil on prostitution because of the upcoming Olympics.
^ I can only speak for Brazil. I've seen no evidence of a crackdown, just that many of the best looking girls went to Europe. Have you seen a domestic Brazil vid lately? It used to be that out of 5 scenes, often there would be at least 3 drop-dead gorgeous big-assed women. Now, you'd be lucky if there's even one world class ass. It's really sad.
And this is where YOU lost me. No hot Mexicanas?! You have got to be kidding. Not quite Brazilian hot, but you've still got to be kidding. It's not really what we're talking about, but as an experiment, turn on UniVision or KMEX and count how many seconds pass before you say "God damn..."

Adriana Sage Laurie Vargas Alexis Breeze Sativa Rose Daisy Marie Sophia Castello Fuck off if you don't think these women are beautiful. Mexico doesn't have a porn industry because its easier to come to the US and work.
Yeah asking why Mexico does not have a domestic market for porn is like asking why Ukraine and Hungary don't have a domestic market for porn. Both those countries provide a ton of good looking women for porn produced in other countries. The women are trying to get out of those countries and make some money because they are so poor.
As far as i know, there are more series shot with beautiful braziian babes and i think you are not aware of it. For example: Rio Loco -> Evil Angel , and some buttman movies which i cant remember right now again for -> Evil Angel, also Elegant Angel had some Brazilian series too. You gotta be digging more for those. Its just that its not easy and cheap to shoot Brazilian porn thats why we are not seeing lots of titles. Also RealityKings has a site called Mike In Brazil also bangbros shoots some COLOMBIAN porn -> https://twitter.com/ciprianixxx Those are very good varieties in my opinion. The only thing about Mexico is that it has some exceptional outdoor locations for porn shooting but as its too much risky & costly no studio is considering shooting there. If the risk was lower and laws are more suitable for porn than that place would be the center of porn ( US stuidos may prefer for no condom usage + freedom at shooting location allowing for public obscenity )
Isn't the problem much the same as with ordinary movies? The industry in the USA is great on distribution and marketing. English is the language to shoot in – otherwise the sale in USA, the world's greatest market, drops close to nil. As much of the distribution and forums such as this is exclusively english-spoken, products from other countries are ignored or possibly, as for other movies, the ideas are stolen and reproduced in english. Thus productions otherwhere, and especially in another language than english, have a massive mountain to climb to even be seen world wide.
Err, Hungary does have a domestic porn production base, it's just that nearly all of its output is produced with international sales in mind. Same for the Czech Republic. And I have no idea what your last sentence is supposed to mean - sure, the actresses will take paydays in other countries, but I'm not aware of some large-scale attempt to use porn to leave their home countries, not in the 1990s and not now. Putting "Ukraine and Hungary" into a single argument is kind of weird anyway. Those two countries are almost nothing alike when it comes to porn.

+1What this guy said. I barely speak/understand Spanish, but I watch several hours a week of Mexican tv shows. Hot women translates to any language. Oh and I live in SoCal, so I see hot Mexican women around all the time.
Duh? Did you even read you wrote? You just repeated my point!!! Any porn produced there is meant for international sales NOT domestic sales!!!! Jeez. What do you think the term "domestic market" means? And don't tell me Ukraine, Czech Republic, and Hungary are rich countries with a lot of disposable income to spend on porn? Do you even follow the news? Russia and U.S. are pumping billions into Ukraine to keep it from collapsing.
I would say because they either cross the border into the US, Shoot underground in Mexico or go to Brazil.

I'd be the last person to say these ladies aren't beautiful, but Daisy Marie, Laure Vargas and Alexis Breeze were born here. They're American porn stars of Mexican descent. They wouldn't have had to cross the border to work here. Adriana Sage came here as a child. So my question is which of these women actually "crossed the border" to work in porn because it was easier? And judging from this, anyway, Mexico does have at least a semblance of a porn industry: http://www.demotix.com/news/2346776/sexmex-expo-takes-place-mexico-city#media-2346094 Edited by - rtj2v0a on 3/26/2014 8:32:30 AM
Laurie said she was born in Guadalajara. She also said she was "discovered" in Hollywood, so she probably didn't come here to do porn, though.

She might want to correct IAFD, which lists her birthplace as Los Angeles. It may not be important enough for her to do that, but still...

The Forbes analyst is only stating the opinion that austerity measures (at the expense of growth) have hurt the Czech economy after the boom of the early 2000s. He could have written the same thing about the United States with its obsession with austerity. Jacco's not wrong, but this analyst may not be wrong, either.
I found plenty of domestically produced porn while poking around downtown Mexico City in the past few years, the problem was that it was what we might call niche stuff, and the production values were sub par to what we have come to expect being spoiled on American product. What I saw was cast as voyeur stuff, like a hidden camera type premise, though obviously a set up, and some alternative porn with a Goth vibe, all which I would classify as amateur stuff. I usually pass this stuff up. Nothing earth shattering. That, and bootlegs of old 70s porn/exploitation type feature films. Lousy even then. Hope this helps. Oh, and all of our stuff.
